We decided to make a trip (a little over an hour) to the casino to spend some time gambling and have a few drinks on a Wednesday night. We sat down and played for a while but no server came around. We then began looking for a server. After looking for a while and finding no servers, I decided to head to the bar to get our drinks myself. Arrived at the bar and found no bartender. I waited and waited. Eventually, I walked the entire casino looking for a server or a bar to get a drink. No luck. In frustration, we headed up the road to spend the rest of our budget for the night. The bar there was happy to take care of us.

Casino ligado ao Hotel onde nos hospedamos. São construções separadas, e o Casino fica a beira do rio Mississippi e é uma réplica dos antigos barcos a vapor.

They have done it for years. We go to them every week. A lady came up talked to the one doing the drawing. She was drawn 1st. Another man came said I just wanted to shake your hand tell u I was here. Got drawn 3 people later! CORRUPT CASINO AND DONT CARE ABOIT PEOPLE.

Food was expensive and plain. Pumpkin pie tasted like jello pudding on pie crust. Banana pudding tastes like jello pudding with vanilla wafers. I truly believe that’s what they served. Apple fritter was good. Boiled shrimp was excellent. $30 for the buffet and there was nothing special on it. Heard it was a good deal during the weekdays but Saturday night stay away

This casino does allow smoking and it was very crowded but it was a Saturday night. Plenty of slot's to choose from.

What a forgettable casino experience. Ventilation needs improvement (very smoky smell, even on a Tuesday evening with few quests). Machines are older, boring, and tight. Employees don't make eye contact, and are grumpy and abrupt with answers to simple questions. Parking could use better security and lighting. Did not feel welcome. Surely there are better places to spend your hard-earned money and be more appreciated.

I won’t return. I have added Ameristar to a list of the companies that use COVID as an excuse to slash services, without slashing prices.
I chose Ameristar for an overnight stay en route to Texas. I wanted to spend the night(wee hours) gambling.
The site states “ FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE
We offer guests free shuttle service between the hotel and casino, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
No, they don’t provide shuttle service! We were hauling a trailer, so I had to walk down a REALLY steep hill to visit the casino. They CLOSE the casino at 4am! Exhausting, AND dangerous! They should at least have a security guard monitoring the road.
The room is very dated. I’m sure it was luxurious at some point, but it’s not now. It was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The AC was not very good.

Looks old with the older type of machines & very smokey. The worst part was how rude the workers are when getting a reward card & when leaving the casino. We have no desire to ever visit again

We stopped for a couple of hours to drop a few coins. I enjoyed the Wheel of Fortune and the Buffalo slot machines. My husband enjoyed the Craps table. Enjoyed it!!!

I submitted a review of the Ameristar Casino Vicksburg a week ago but TripAdvisor has asked me to contribute another review. So here it is. I don't know why they picked Ameristar from among the four riverboats that hug the shore of the Mississippi River at Vicksburg, Mississippi. But Ameristar is the biggest and perhaps the best with 70,000 square feet of gaming space, 148 hotel rooms, over 1,200 slot machines, 30 gaming tables, the only poker room in Vicksburg and two restaurants. There usually are three but the buffet has been closed, like all buffets on the riverboats in Vicksburg, because of the COVID pandemic. Located at 4116 Washington Street, Ameristar opened in 1994. My wife and I aren't gamblers. Our limit is $10 nightly at the cheap slots. But we love to people-watch and snack and enjoy the live entertainment. Here's a typical time for us: play the slots, watch the high rollers at the roulette or blackjack table, sample some delicious southern dishes at the all-you-can-eat Heritage restaurant or have a pizza or po'boy sandwich at Bella's Bakery & Cafe, then take advantage of the no cover charge admission for showtime at the Bottleneck Blues Bar. The hotel is a bargain, too. Book a De Luxe King room with king-sized bed, 37-inch plasma TV and free wi-fi internet access. It also comes with a fitness center, business center, swimming pool and hot tub and dry cleaning and laundry service.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. For breakfast, you can dine at Bella's Cafe located at our casino which is either a short drive down the bluff or a ride on the free shuttle from the hotel. It is not a buffet nor is it complimentary. Sincerely, Amèistar Vicksburg Guest Relations.

Prime-Time for seniors, which is, buy one, get one free buffet, is for lunch Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. This promotion has been extended through February but can be canceled anytime.

Are children not allowed in the hotel? Looking for a stop over (hopefully inexpensive) on the way from Texas to Orange Beach. Noticed hotel mentioned "cannot accomodate children".

Children are allowed at the hotel as it is not connected to the casino. However, when dining at the restaurants in the casino, you must have a security escort through the casino. This is for Heritage Buffet and Bourbon's Steakhouse. Bella's is the only restaurant where security escort is not needed. Minor entrance is in the garage near Valet.
