The murals were excellent unfortunately a bit weathered. What tied it to history were the little plaques in front of each. They explained what was going on at the time and brought them to life. Tip also walk through the gate in the center and on the water side to the right shows the different flood levels over the years.

A worthwhile stop to see these paintings that are on the downtown flood wall. Each mural tells a story about the history of Vicksburg. It is worth reading the plaque that goes with each mural. There is plenty of free parking so it is easy to get out and take the short walk along the murals. On the other side of the flood wall is the Mississippi River and a colorful welcome to Vicksburg sign ( a nice place for photos). There is also a flood guage. And you can often see barges on the river.

Très déçu, car l'accès à ces peintures n'est plus possible, car il semble que la falaise au dessus s'effondre .

This is a very interesting use of space as the paintings are on a flood wall that protects the lower part of Vicksburg. Read the plaque to understand each of the many panels. Look at both sides of the wall.

Something lives down at the riverfront that defecates all over the place. The art is well done and the attractions are interesting, but they need some live traps to re-home some of the wildlife.

Tells stories and tales of the area and region and worth a walk about. Some with great detail(s). Can be a quick review if pressed for time or savored.

The flood wall which was put in after early 2000's floods now has art work from local artists on it. The murals depict various historical events from Vicksburg. Very nice art work and makes riverfront scenic. The downtown/riverfront area could use a face lift but this certainly is a start.

We stopped by on Sunday (10-23-22) and it was a great day. Taking pictures and learning the history of Vicksburg through the murals was a beautiful experience. The artwork is very detailed and I was very impressed on how they have stood up to the weather. Right on the river and we watched some barges moving around on the river too!

We got up early and headed to the murals. Very well done in a very cool part of the city.

It is a big lot but I guess it depends on the size of your camper and how many people are there. Also I dont know what the city allows.
