Looking for Cherry blossoms, but don't want to brave the crowds? You must add the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens to your list for the spectacular cherry tree display! In addition to the trees, there are gardens filled with cheerful daffodils, crocus and tulips. Delightful explorations await you there. Don't miss the Korean Bell garden! This park has lovely vistas with plenty of opportunities to catch your breath on a bench or chair while the view takes your breath away.

Tickets to the Winter Walk are $18 per person, plus the eventbrite ticket-selling platform fee, so $80 for a family of 4.
For what was there, we just thought it was overpriced. It’s a half-mile walk through some themed lights of bugs, plants, birds & woodland creatures, and it was cute, but not as great as the displays like zoo lights in DC or the Bull Run lights which cost only $30 per carload of people. For even more money at Meadowlark you can buy overpriced s’mores and glowy toys.
Parking there is a mess. You will wait a half hour to get into the lots, where “traffic controllers” do nothing but lackadaisically wave you into areas of the lot that have no spots and are just piles of automobiles. They’re not looking or directing traffic in any way. Then it’s just a free-for-all. We actually pulled into a space to have some guy in a Lexus SUV knock on our windows and tell us to move bc he’d been waiting for the spot for five minutes. Well he was trying to back in I guess, holding up tons of traffic. We did pull out of the space (because it’s Christmas) but the people behind us promptly pulled in and the guy still didn’t get it. Not a bright idea to back in here, folks, there is no room. Anyway, we eventually found a space.
We were worried bc the tickets say if you arrive more than 30 minutes late, you can’t come in. But they give you no warning as to the time it will take to wait in line to find parking. Who would think you’d need an hour lead time when you’re already at the gardens? I was ready to go to the mat on this, but fortunately they let us through without a problem.
Part of the problem is the United Airlines-style oversold tickets. People just keep coming and coming at their timed entry but not many people are leaving. So it just gets extremely backed up. They just don’t have the capacity to sell that many tickets. Lines for the s’mores and other snacks were 50-60 people deep. Ugh, who needs it?
The whole display took us 25 minutes to walk through. I’m not kidding. $80 for that.
I think on Tuesdays tickets are $5. Definitely try that. That’s honestly what it’s worth. I would have to agree with the reviewer that wrote that the place feels very money-grabby.

The entry was so short-staffed that there was only one person taking admission payments AND collecting monies at the gift shop. There was almost no signage as to plantings.

Amazing place to walk and see a huge variety of flowers, plants and trees. Even in mid- October it is beautiful. This would be a great place to bring the kids on a warm day and let them run around the grassy areas.

It is like heaven fell to earth.
I was skeptical at first but walking from the native plants area to the meadow of milkweed with monarchs and tiger butterflies everywhere it is amazing.

we lucked out with the weather and completely enjoyed the entire grounds of this place. Well taken care of and a reasonable entry fee. Picturesque to say the least!

Absolutely terrible corrupt place. My mom paid thousands of dollars to have my deceased grandparents names on 2 benches in the rose garden. Evil money hungry NOVA parks ripped off the plaques of my grandparents that have been there since 1990! They lied about why they ripped them off, because they want to sell for more ‘donations’. Our family has donated so much money to this money laundering place. This is not only morally corrupt, but may be illegal since there was nothing in the contract that said they could take our benches away after a certain period of time. They lie and hide and are only looking for donations. Go somewhere else to see some average looking plants.

Doesn’t allow dogs which seems strange for an outdoor area. My dog was also in a bag but they still wouldn’t allow me to go in.

This event was $18/adult, and was a really nice walk through beautifully designed holiday light displays. Advance reservation required. Hot beverages, adult beverages, snacks and s'mores kits available!

Meadowlark Botanical Garden is big, beautiful, and full of life (numerous bird species, fish, frogs, at least two kinds of turtles, insects, and of course countless plant species). We spent a few hours here and felt like we could have spent the whole day. We definitely plan to go back.
In addition to the meandering walking paths, there are heaps of benches and comfy chairs on/in which to sit and enjoy the surrounding beauty.
At $6 for adults, the value is great. Very family friendly, picnic friendly, couples friendly, great if you're on your own...it's nice for just about everyone, I reckon.

Can you come on a Saturday and just walk around the gardens and take pictures of the flowers and trees? Thank you.

Would a person on a walker be able to get around?
Are there concrete walkways or mulch/dirt walkways

I don't remember very well. Some parts could be good for walker and some others no. The best way I suggest is to call and see how is ast the moment as things change and a person with a walker needs some planning. I have a husband with Parkinson and before he had strokes we had to call the place ahead of time to make sure walkers were suitable at that moment. Apologies for not being able to help that much at the moment

From March through November there is an entrance fee of $5.00 (ages 18 to 54) and $2.50 (ages 7 to 17 and 55+). This answer is true.....

Is my Atlanta Botanical Garden membership reciprocal with Meadowlark Gardens?
Thank you!

You'll have to contact the Garden itself. I do not know what reciprocity they honor.
How is the garden during mid January?
