If you are visiting Cotignac in Provence don't miss the museum on yesterday's traditions. You will like it: not only because there is the air-co, but also because of the various tools and the story they tell. And your children will like it too: not only the "marmotte du colporteur" and its treasury boxes, but also the large Lego mockup of the rock and its medieval towers that overlook the village (took 3 months to make it, and you can play the game of the differences with picture above it).

Notre association "leï Bélugo" de Tourtour (Var) a le projet de créer bientôt un musée villageois, du type de celui de Cotignac : j'ai été reçu début décembre (le Musée est pourtant fermé) par Annette et Dérek qui ont été remarquables de pédagogie, de passion pour me fournir toutes les explications nécessaires (organisation, bénévoles, liens avec la Mairie, subventions, visites, entretien...). Un grand Merci pour cette rencontre et un immense Bravo pour cette magnifique réalisation qui fait honneur à tout notre patrimoine rural haut-varois....

Un lieu rempli d'objets, photos, textes explicatif, costumes et outils retraçant la vie quotidienne de ce petite village du haut var.
On y retrouve également tenue et informations sur les plaies laissées par les guerres .
Bravo à l'association qui permet au public ces découvertes.

"Cotignac, the past to the present" A treasure trove of life in a quaint French village. Considering the lack of subsidies, and that it's run by a passionate group of volunteers - chapeau! Visit the museum and support their efforts of saving the patrimony.

Ce petit musée est tenu par une association avec des membres passionnés par l'histoire de leur village et de la région. Si comme nous, vous avez la chance de bénéficier de commentaires d'une dame charmante , en plus de la découverte des objets et documents exposés, vous apprendrez plein de choses sur Cotignac. Bravo à l'association

Why not try something different when in Cotignac? Extremely knowledgeable and passionate Derek will give you an insight into the fascinating past of Cotignac. Bonus: free entrance! You will find out so many amazing things about this little village! If it’s a hot summer day, the museum has air-conditioning 😉. If you come off-season, contact the museum by phone/email and you will get a private tour. An experience not to be missed! Highly recommended!

Très beau petit musée qui mérite le détour, mettant l'accent sur l'authenticité et le local. N'hésitez pas à faire le detour, en plus, il est gratuit !
