Jose the dive master ( one of two ) was great. Boat assistants ensured everything was in order and you were ready and comfortable. Boat was high powered and comfortable with practical tasty snacks and drinks. The dive master spotted water inside my goggles before I did. He kept pointing out minor issues like tighten your weight belt etc. Thorough professional and I was rusty. I needed his guidance and he watched everyone like a hawk. The tail end diver was great too. Saw heaps of large Manta Rays, and a massive Moray Eel, Guitar Ray? and other rays on the sea floor and on the move. Highly recommend.

Thankyou to Juan Manuel and Luis for 2 days of great diving. We went to Isla de la Plata and Isla Salango. Safety protocols were evident and respected. We saw an abundance and variety of small fish, lots of turtles, star fish, morays.....We highly recommend this agency.

Great communication prior to an open water course. Patient and chilled style of instruction. Photos of dove provided free of charge. Good equipment. Safety first. Very pleased and can recommend.

I did 1 day diving in isla de la Plata end of Sept 2022. Good and safe. They select the dive spot according to the real conditions (current, waves, etc). On the way, we took the time to watch the whales.
The team on the boat is very kind, they help you a lot to get your gears ready.

This is a very well operated dive shop. A experienced divers, we spent three days diving with Mike as the Dive Master, and he was excellent. Probably one of the best we have ever been with. The boat was good and the crew excellent. Our dives near the shores of Isla de la Plata were the best of the three days, but all all were good. My only issue with the operation was some of the rental equipment needed to be replaced. Without going into detail, I would give the shop a five star rating, had the rental equipment been better, as that's the only objection I had.

I did a discovery dive back in Sept 2019. Exploramar was a very professional company and I felt very safe the entire time I was with them. Besides prioritizing safety, exploramar prioritizes a respect and care for all sea life. I saw manta rays during my dive, which was breathtaking, and I was able to hear humback whales singing and communicating under the water. If you want to see humpback whales during your dive, you have to be more experienced.
The instructor who dove with me, EMILIANO, was incredibly patient with me. This was my first time ever being submerged under so much water, and I was naturally intimidated by the challenge. I was quite afraid when Emiliano and I were ready to take the plunge, and I had some serious second thoughts. Emiliano and his team gently encouraged me to do the dive and reassured me everything would be okay. Once we were underwater, Emiliano gauged how comfortable I was, and would check in with me often. He held my hand the whole time (because I was nervous to let go!!!), especially during some pretty strong currents. It was a magical experience.

I took a trip to Ecuador in late July / early August 2019 and stumbled across Exploramar on TripAdvisor while planning. I was planning extremely last minute, about a week before my trip, but coordinating with Exploramar / Michel was seamless and easy. I had heard that we might see some Humpback Whales and Manta Rays, because I was visiting in the migrating season (June - September), but I couldn't even imagine the experiences that were to come. For someone who had never been scuba diving before, for my first few dives to be face to face with 6-8 meter Manta Rays and hearing the sound of humpbacks underneath the water was extremely surreal.
Michel, his wife, and his entire staff are incredibly friendly, hospitable, and helpful. I took a 3 day scuba trip with him and each dive master I met was knowledgeable, professional, safe, and fun :) My 4 day trip to Puerto López was truly unforgettable. I have every intention of going back to do a longer dive trip in the Galapagos with Exploramar and Michel. For solo travels, families, couples, or whoever, I couldn't recommend diving with Exploramar enough!!

Honestly the best experience any diver could ask for! Liza and Kanina were the most amazing diving instructors. Liza was on hand to give tips and support the whole way through the day and Kanina, who was diving to continue her research of manta rays, was also a great support throughout the day. The crew at Exploramar were amazing from start to finish. Everything was done with the utmost professionalism and all the equipment was in perfect condition. The staff are so nice and helpful. After having learned to dive in a very ‘macho’ dive school in Colombia, spending the day diving with the lovely staff at Exploramar was an amazingly chilled and enjoyable day. Honestly couldn’t recommend this dive school and their staff more!
