Excellent service. Filled in on line measurements form. Picked up kilt Christmas eve after fitting . Was able to leave at the hotel as we were leaving boxing day.

For excellent quality kilt hire this is the place. The kilts for my sons wedding were fantastic. Nothing to much trouble. Will definetely be using again. Lovely owner and staff

We've used Glendinnings twice this year for the weddings of two of my sons. Must say the service and attention to detail has been absolutely outstanding. Duncan and the team couldn't have been more helpful especially with the intricacies of putting on the kilt outfit !!!
Wish all suppliers were as attentive as this !

We were getting married on 10/5 and I wanted to wear a full outfit. This shop did the lot helped pick the right outfit ensured it all fitted and instructions on how it looks and dressed properly

I've bought numerous garments and hired kilts over the years and found Walter and his son to be most professional. The quality of their garments and the service that they provide is second to none. When it comes to price I've also found them to be very competitive. One of their specialities is the supply and the hiring of kilts for weddings etc, I only hope that Cov'd 19 doesn't do them too much harm.

The fine establishment of W. Glendinning & Son is a gentleman's outfitter par excellence in the unassuming small town of Annan in Dumfries & Galloway. For personalised service and advice in the purchase of high quality and incredibly stylish extraditional Scottish formal wear this is the place to go.
Although the High Street does not have a huge amount of vibrancy, W Glendinning is a standout. It is fairly unassuming from the outside with a relatively low key banner but the displays are ok and the quality of the products within is excellent.
The store offers hire and sales of formal wear as well as a range of other clothing products. Although there are some patterns in stock the ideal option is to put in an order sufficiently early.
The W of Glendinning fame is Walter the founder of the store in 1882. His grandson Walter is now the proprietor. Always a pleasure to know there is such a strong tradition behind the expertise.
The advice is terrific. Guidance is always helpful when ordering such a personal set of items like bespoke formal wear. Given the number of elements involved in Scottish formal wear it is invaluable to have a guide who can show what works.
The fitting process works really well and includes a personalised service that ensures everything is tailored perfectly. The garments are created with the possibility of slight tightening or loosening, something that no doubt comes in handy over time.
Formal wear is not cheap but the Glendinning approach does not look to squeeze at any point. There is always a confidence the customer is securing not only quality but also value.
Of course with this kind of service it always helps for those providing it to be personable and that is certain the case with Glendinning. An interesting and thoughtful discussion which does not seek to pry too much is the added bonus.

Very friendly helpful and professional staff. They have a huge variety of tartans and accessories. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for kilt hire.

Since my first visit I've bought a couple of pairs of shoes, some trousers and some accessories, all at fantastic prices.
I've also hired items for special occasions.
Glendinning & Son are the epitome of a local shop. Their focus is on quality and delivering the very best service to their customers. The customer service is nothing short of excellent.

I always go to Glendinning in Annan when I need a kilt outfit because they take the time to get you measured correctly & I get them to dress me on the Wedding Day.
