Surprisingly after a sub par experience with the oakwood stay the spa was a nice treat although small very cozy and welcoming.

We stayed one night at the Oakwood Resort to celebrate my husband's birthday just the two if us. We had tickets to go see the yuk yuks show (which was awesome and hilarious!!!) We also booked 2 services (massage therapy and facial) at the Lakeside Spa. The Spa was pretty good, facials were exceptional! We used the salt water pool as well and it was nice and clear, though the hot tub is very small - two person max three and was very very hot. The hotel room itself could use a bit of updating and you can really hear everything going on above you - walking around etc. But it didnt bother us too much. We ate at Dave's Pub and the food was good but the menu is overpriced for pub type food. Overall we had a great experience and would love to come back for another spa treatment, another yuk yuks night and hubby wants to try out the golf!

Jana was the perfect hostess. She made me feel very comfortable and was a pleasure to be around. She gave me the perfect Hot Rock Massage and Pedicure. I would recommend this spa to everyone. I will definitely go back again and again.

Went to Lakeside Spa for the first time Friday May 24th. We also stayed at Oakwood Resort, our room being a short walk away from the spa.
We were greeted so friendly by the receptionist, where she gave us a card to get into the pool/hot tub/sauna area while we waited for our other friends to have their spa treatment.
I saw Amy for my spa pedicure - she was very professional and did a great job!! Even offered us a glass of wine! Loved that touch.
There are a lot of colours to choose from, and of course the loungers - they are very comfortable!!
Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Lakeside!!

My husband surprised me with a getaway to the Oakwood Resort as he knows how much I love the Grand Bend area. It was convenient that the Lakeside Spa was on site.
He booked a massage for both of us as well as a body scrub for me.
Chrissy did both of our massages. I prefer medium pressure where he likes deep tissue. She was able to deliver on both.
I also enjoyed my body scrub. My skin felt amazing after wards.
We will definitely return!

This is the second time I go and every time has been amazing. The first time I went in with my girls (9 and 13 yrs old) to get pedicures. This is a very reasonably priced spa and they have girls treatments at super prices. The products they used seem higher end with an organic line and every single shade of nail polish colour you could possibly wish for. The BEST part (other that the staff, Sam at the reception is amazing!) are the lounge chairs to get the pedicures done. You start sitting on a chair getting your feet soaked and then move on to the lounger, this lounger is bar-none the most relaxing pedicure you will ever have! So I had to go back with some friends and the experience was even better. Although we couldn't find times to sit all together for the pedicures, there was a couple sitting by me, who I guess were regulars and the pedicure ladies knew them so well (the couple had ordered a wine glass, I didn't know you could do that but I will enquire if I could order one for my next visit). The attendants are very professional and meticulous and offer you coffee or tea at the beginning of the pedicure. There were some cute girls getting facials for a tween birthday and were given a chocolate bar from the organic line. I thought it was a great idea for my children but more than anything I saw that they treat young little ladies with as much courtesy, respect an professionalism as they do with the adults, they get offered tea or water just like every other true guest. Way to go! Overall this a 10 for me and can't wait to be back. I also recommend to take a walk around the place, they have antique tractors and cool stuff like that that you don't see everyday.

Massage was great. But they booked me with a non registered therapist and did not tell me. Very disspaointed. I cannot claim the amount with my insurance. This was money I had not budgeted for. Be careful when booking.

Thank you for the review. We are sorry for the misunderstanding with the invoicing for your massage. Not all of our treatments are provided by an RMT and we do let our clients know this ahead of time and/or at time of booking. In just 30-40 minutes, I was pampered, refreshed, and enlightened about each phase of this relaxing yet rejuvenating treatment. Wonderful products! They did not push these, but they filled out a card indicating what products they had used, and I received an info booklet. I returned next day to select the ones I wanted.Fantastic!

Took my mom and two daughters for spa pedicures and lunch. Lunch was great, the food is great, the atmosphere is very nice (looking out over the beautiful golf course), and the service is wonderful. The esthetician's pampered us!! Overall it was a great day!

We come to the Grand Bend area every summer and one of my treats is a visit to the Oakwood Lakeside Spa. The staff is sweet and knowledgeable, and the service and products used is on par with any high end urban spa.The extra benefit is that the slower small town pace of life makes your spa glow last that little bit extra longer!
