Bought a case of sweet red from this winery. Owner was very approachable and nice to talk to. One of the few wineries that was open mid week and didn't require booking. Vineyard was quiet spectacular with kangaroos jumping around.

Check this place out.. would be awesome in picking season.. the owner was great.. very knowledgeable and accommodating... bought a nice sweet red..

Absolutely amazing. Unfortunately for others, but fortunate for us, we got a last minute booking because brisbanites had to cancel due to covid lockdowns recently. We had the wineries and Stanthorpe to ourselves. The photos really don't do it justice to be honest. My hubby and I are fussy travellers with high expectations and this exceeded them. It was spotless, spacious and fully equipped. Endless wood for a cosy winter fire which is rare as most places only give you enough for one night. Nice big warm shower with good pressure. Comfy king bed. Two tvs, comfy lounge and a lovely outdoor area. We brought a rug and had a picnic right out the front door with a lovely bottle of their red and some local cheese. Your left to your own devices which we like. There is a fantastic walk behind with ribbons along the way to make sure your going in the right direction (in winter we had to cross 2 tiny creeks - so just be warned of that) but it was a beautiful walk. I can't rate this place highly enough, and to make it even better, it is very well priced, a bargain really. Thanks guys, no wonder your always booked out, will definitely return.

We absolutely loved staying here. There are two cabins. Tony and Linda have thought of EVERYTHING! You seriously don't need anything except clothes and food. The cabin is huge - 2 bedrooms and has a very comfortable lounge chair unlike most places. There are 2 TVs - one in the main area and one in the king sized bedroom. There is a full sized fridge, oven and stove top, washing machine and dishwasher. This cabin was super clean. The view over the vineyards is lovely and the front veranda was very relaxing to partake in the complimentary wine, cheese and crackers whilst watching the kangaroos. The fireplace kept our cabin warm all night in the minus temps. Their wine is excellent by the way. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I hope we can return again one day. Well done Tony and Linda and thank you for sharing such a beautiful place. Three nights was not enough!

Fantastic short stay on a beautiful peaceful winery.
Excellent accomodation, everything supplied.
Could not fault this in any way.
Wood fire with wood supplied.
King bed, bathroom, excellent shower and hot water.
Lovely front deck with views of vineyard and kangaroos bounding everywhere.
Star gazing 10/10 no city lights to distract.
2nd bedroom for additional guests.
Fantastic kitchen and full size fridge.
Located at Ballandean, close to hiking at Girraween, 10 minutes drive.
15 minutes to storm king dam, close to all winery’s for tastings
11/10 best cabin value in Ballandean.
Can’t rave about this place enough.

Cabins placed amongst vineyards, the perfect little retreat for a romantic getaway or visiting all the wineries, you can’t get any better than just red wine cabins.
From the thoughtfulness of the bottle of wine from their vineyard, cheese and crackers.. to the setting up of the pot belly fireplace.
The king size bed in one room and the bunks in the second room was lovely.
The surprise was the amount of extra utensils in the kitchen ... the flavoured coffees, and the extra milk in the fridge.
Congrats on this little piece of paradise tony.

Chanced a tasting here as we explored the area, a cosy little Cellar Door, we had a little wait for our tasting but the wines were good and also good value, took a couple away with us.
Inside the Cellar Door isn’t dog friendly but we were able to tie her up at the door which was very close, they also did offer to do our tasting outside if we wanted.

We have a fairly small cellar door and since covid restrictions we have found it impractical to allow dogs inside. As you say we have a table outside at which you may doing tasting if you want to remain with your dog. Cheers Tony

Excellent stay. Cabins are well equipped and superbly kept and clean. This was my first two night stay. Got to experience the bush walk on the property. Certainly will be back again. Great way to wind down for a bit.

Highly recommended. One of the best accommodations we have stayed in. Only 15 mins away from Stanthorpe, 15 mins to Girrawin National park. Cabin is new and clean. It's got everything we needed. Kids were so excited to see kangaroos hiding in the vineyard. Running through the vineyard and spotting kangaroos were all they wanted to do. They had a serious talk with us to get us to move there. Tony produced excellent wine too. A complimentary bottle of wine from him was given to us during our stay. It was so good that we brought couple of bottles back with us to Brisbane.

What a beautiful time we had in the cabin at Just Red Wines. Very close to all the Granite Belt attractions, Ballandean and Girraween National Park. A modern cottage with an inside fireplace right in the vineyard. Well equipped with air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine, comfy lounge, comfy beds, bbq and outdoor setting. Plenty of wood was supplied and lots of lovely touches including a bottle of their red wine, toiletries, coffee and tea supplies. Wine tasting and cellar onsite. Lovely spot. Perfect for a quiet couples break or family trip.
