A quirky little detour not far off the main road. Good photo op. Max 5mins here. I'd love to see a sign with the back story...

An amazing structure that will stand for hundreds of years... Impressive that someone would spend the time, effort and money to build something like this these days for seemingly no purpose except "just because". Not exactly a life changing experience or anything but worth driving by and spending a few moments checking it out. It's a shame you can't go right up to it to get a true sense of scale, being on private property and all but understandable as it would get ruined pretty quickly by people climbing it. Great photo opportunity!

Pity we couldn't access the site (it's a private property) but still love looking at it from the side of the road. It's quite impressive and the kids loved it.

A stone pyramid in a farmer's field may not sound like something to seek out but if you're in the area you really should check this out. There is no coffee shop or other things to do but there us no charge and it us an amazing structure. The work involved is mind boggling. It is just a short drive from the highway along a side road. You should not go away disappointed!

The ANZAC pm service here was beautiful, and a real tear gerker. Definitely don't miss this if you are in the area during this time.

I am still impressed by this structure after seeing it only a week ago.
For a farmer to gather up all these granite blocks on his land and make this impressive feature, I am genuinely impressed at his ingenuity. You can see it from the main road through the trees but I recommend a trip off the main road to stop and see it up close. Its an amazing structure. Well worth it.

We were told about this place by friends before we visited the Stanthorpe / Ballandean area. it took us about 6 days of driving up and down the A15 before we spotted from the highway. We managed to find the side road where you can view this pyramid up close. Amazing feat completed (I believe) by one man. Interesting sight and forms part of some unusual photos in our collection of this area.
