‪Perfect trip, boat, captain, and experience!‬

‪Where to begin! What an absolutely fabulous vacation! From the beginning, talking with Eugene and Maria was so easy. They answered all of my questions and were so helpful in providing guidance. They were very honest about the trip not being in the high season so we would not be going to be able to see all the things on our bucket list. We have never done anything like this before but this whole experience was so easy and so amazing. We totally recommend this company to ANYONE who is interested in seeing Greek Islands and doing something incredible. We had stocked the boat with our groceries - FYI - you shouldn’t over order like we did. Here is why - we had the BEST captain, Theodore! He was our captain on the Ace of Diamonds - which was the perfect boat for us - 5 cabins with en suite bathrooms. Theodore was so incredible in planning the trip - we messaged and talked the day before the trip to finalizing planning. He showed us the boat and was able to accommodate all of our requests and preferences. Being a bunch of American women, I know we were going to need to make adjustments but really, it was so easy to navigate living on this beautiful yacht! Theodore also was able to demonstrate his amazing cooking skills with numerous breakfasts, lunches, and dinners on the boat! We were welcomed with fresh sushi and cocktails upon arrival to the yacht - definitely a wonderful beginning! The food was so fresh, flavorful, and delicious! His souvlakis were better than what we ate one some of the islands! And his protein breakfast is now a recipe we are going to make for ourselves back home! He truly went out of his way to make our experience wonderful. He helped guide us and personalized the trip! He even rented a car to drive us around one of the islands! He booked a private tour guide for us as well and was able to translate for us. Just an absolute once of a lifetime trip - made even better with the best captain ever, Theodore! Being able to talk after dinner about life and travel was also so special. We will always remember this vacation on the Ace of Diamonds with Theodore, was being one of the most incredible vacations! 100% guarantee!‬

‪Amazing experience!‬

‪We had the most amazing experience which was made even more outstanding by the excellent Captain George Platsakis. The Cycladic Islands are wonderful but you need a knowledgeable skipper to adjust your pre-planned itinerary to the prevailing conditions to ensure the best experience. In our case, we had to make wind-related adjustments. Captain Platsakis was not able to guide us in that regards but he also helped us to have amazing experiences on each island. Many of these are not on the general tourists programs. He knew the great spots to eat and the best bays for swimming. He was attentive to the needs and interests of everyone on board, ensuring a great holiday for all passengers. The catamaran itself was perfectly fitted, contributing to a great experience.‬

‪Hands down the BEST TRIP EVER!!!‬

‪I can’t say enough amazing things about our experience on this trip. The crew was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! We were very well taken care of, from the fantastic food (never ending) all the way to the safety felt while traveling on the catamaran. I don’t swim and never once felt like I was scared or even apprehensive in the slightest. Gianni’s and Morfi are spectacular humans and we can’t wait to take another trip with them specifically. We consider them family ❤️ THIS IS A FABULOUS COMPANY AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND. You won’t be disappointed!!‬

‪Best vacation of our lives!‬

‪I’m not sure where to start but not only was this the best vacation our group has experienced, it was possibly the best week of our lives. We all agreed that the only thing that could make the trip better is an additional week!

The boat (Royal Flush) is a masterpiece in itself—immaculate and spacious, high-tech and (extremely) well equipped. I can’t imagine there’s a better boat out there.

The crew, really our friends now, Morphi and Dimitris, are Greek angels we’re sure—absolute saints those two! Every moment getting to spend time with their bright and beautiful personalities was a treat. Morphi’s food made us positively emotional and every dish was better than the best meal in a restaurant (which were still epic meals of course). She fed us well and often and perfectly timed, always with a smile and warmth. She knew who enjoyed what coffee and each persons personal wine happy hour preferences. She always had a story to tell and radiant energy, and we miss her smile dearly.

Dimitris was a mind reader with planning our itineraries and every excursion he arranged was perfectly paired with the groups energy level and personality. You like wine? He knows the perfect wineries on each island. You like sights & adventure? Here are 4 ATVs waiting for you to cruise Spetses at your leisure. Oh you like to swim, yeah? Here are four of the most beautiful turquoise coves you can dive into. He’s just a cool guy, absolutely interesting and full of knowledge. Also, when it comes to navigating a large boat with charisma and confidence, I doubt anyone can do it better. Even when novice captains around us would mess up our anchor or docking, he didn’t sweat it and was a pro. Smooth sailing to the maximum!

Eugene, Joanna, and both Marias were kind and patient to work with. Planning every detail and giving surprisingly prompt responses (I’m wondering when they sleep). Everyone has questions, I’m sure, and I had plenty, always answered by them with grace.

The Saronic Islands are not to be missed and while we thought the popular Cyclades were the ideal spots, you’ll have to twist my arm to get me to go anywhere else. I’m convinced the Saronic are heaven. The sunrises and sunsets give pause and time stops in those moments.

I hope everyone gets to experience this at least once in their lives. I believe the relaxation, happiness, and bliss our family experienced that week is the meaning of life.

Yachtsailing.gr and everyone involved, you’ll see us again soon! In the meantime, thank you so much for the experience you provide to stressed-out, over-worked Americans. We owe you :)‬

‪Doesn't Get Better Than This!‬

‪What an amazing way to travel the Greek Islands. I expected to be sick and claustrophobic but instead I didn't want it to end!! Our Captain John Konstantinidis and our cook Morfi Portoula went above and beyond treating us like family, cooking the best of Greek food right on our catamaran!!! Can't give it a high enough rating for the experience!!‬

‪Amazing Holiday‬

‪I cannot say enough about our experience! We were a blended group of friends/family, 6 adults and 4 kids. We sailed mid-June and the weather was perfect! Truly one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we have been on in a long time. Our skipper, Dimitris and our host, Aliki were both wonderful and easy going. Dimitris knew all the best places to take us and Aliki made some of the best food we have ever eaten. I should have stood in the kitchen and watched her every day. You definitely won’t be disappointed if you book this trip and will be immediately planning how to go again!‬

‪Best Trip EVER‬

‪My husband and I, along with another couple, contracted for 5 days on the Casino Royale. Wished that we had 7 days as 5 days seemed too short. Harris (captain) and Vicky (hostess/cook) were INCREDIBLE! We always felt safe even though the winds were quite high for part of the trip. Our best meals were those that Vicky cooked. Both of them aimed to please. Each day, we discussed the weather and the plan (to which island, timing, meal options). In route to the next island, Harris would ask if we needed any recommendations on activities or restaurants. He would call ahead and reserve a tour guide and/or restaurant so that when we arrived, the local tour guide would be waiting for us. Vicky would go shopping for groceries (so that everything was super fresh). This is customer service at its BEST.‬

‪I rarely do advance planning for vacations, but this company is very popular so I booked our sailing trip approximately 18 months in advance. From reading other reviews and talking to other crews once I was in Greece, it seems like this company has the best reputation for skippers, hostesses, and staff and I agree with that assessment after spending a week with Dimitri and Morphi. Both were very professional, kind, and fun, quickly bonding with our group of 8 and enjoying the week with us. in addition to their wonderful demeanor, Dimitri seemed to know every person at every port which paid dividends, often getting us a berth despite the most popular areas being "full." For our hostess, we had requested fresh and local ingredients for meals, and Morphi was a pro at making exquisite dishes that delighted us at every opportunity. Both Dimitri and Morhpi truly care and enjoy their jobs, which isn't always the case in positions like this, and we are happy to call them friends now, even after spending just a week with them.

There are a lot of yacht company choices in Greece, from my experience I would say this is one of the best, and encourage you to book them.‬

‪Epic trip in the Greek Islands‬

‪This was the trip of a lifetime! Our skipper (Theodore) and hostess (Stefanie) were incredible, the islands we went to were the perfect mix for our group and they always had fantastic recommendations for dinners in the ports. The boat was also epic, beautiful, spacious and the perfect place to relax. Such an amazing time, highly recommend.‬

‪Best Captain on the Sea!‬

‪We could not have asked for a better introductory experience to Greece than the team at Yacht Sailing Greece provided. From planning through the entirety of the trip, the team was kind and accommodating. This includes office staff, the dock crews at all of the ports we visited, the folks who arranged transport for us to and from, and so on. The entire team works together to ensure you have a memorable and positive experience.

With that being said, our captain, George Platsakis, with whom we spent the majority of our week, went above and beyond what words can express. I cant fathom doing another sail without him. His passion for sailing, knowledge of the sport as well as the islands, and desire to keep all of us safe made our sail exponentially better than we could have ever expected it would be. George is a joy to be around and made all of us feel at home in a country we had never been before. He had recommendations at every island that were SPOT ON, and we learned quickly just to do what George suggested. Restaurant, activity, landmark, etc… If he said it was worth seeing or trying, without fail, it absolutely was! If you are going to try sailing in Greece for the first time or the 50th, you would be crazy to do it with anyone other than Capt Platsakis.

I guess the only other tip I can think to add is, after your sail with GP is booked, I suggest you spend a week or 2 practicing how to wash an entire meals worth of dishes with less than a liter of water. 😂 A great skill to have in yacht life, and one I never did master.😉 Guess there is always next time, right? 🤞🏼Happy Sailing Friends.
