Michele took my impossibly packed list of want-to-see places in Puglia and put together an amazing itinerary customized to our interests. He was always very responsive and timely with all communications. Then as a tour leader he was so knowledgeable and personable. He took such good care of us and provided so much value added above and beyond what was originally contracted. Likewise, our driver, Domenico, made us feel like royalty VIPs chauffeuring us all around the region. What a treat! We are a highly educated, well-traveled mature couple and Apuglia Slow Travel went above and beyond all expectations. We can’t say enough good things about our week-long tour. We recommend Apulia Slow Travel to anyone and without reservation.

Michele war ein außergewöhnlicher Reiseleiter, der uns acht Tage lang zu den ikonischen Orten in Apulien begleitete, die er wie kein anderer kennt.
Die Leidenschaft, mit der er sein Wissen weitergab, beeindruckte alle. Er war stets hilfsbereit und gab uns das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein. Wir haben uns in guten Händen gefühlt und sein Beitrag hat unsere Reise unvergesslich gemacht.

We were in Lecce for 4 nights Michele organised 2 full day trips. Day one was Monopoli and Pogliano al Mare. day 2 was Ostuni and a vineyard was Masseria
It was all terrific and well organised by Michele. The only disappointment was our driver although a lovely chap didn’t speak English and my Italian is limited.

Our recent trip to Puglia was amazing thanks to Michele. For three day’s my husband and I were fortunate to experience this beautiful region authentically through his eyes. Michele is so passionate, knowledgeable & professional. He showed us hidden gems of historical places that we would have missed if doing a self-guide. We highly recommend Apulia Slow Travel. Professionalism, friendliness, experience, and expertise come together with Michele's vast amount of knowledge! His vision of tourism is different from everyone else's: carefully planned itineraries, fabulous experiences that combine cultural enrichment and fun, seen from a unique and always brilliant perspective. There is no doubt, for me, that anyone who wants to visit Apulia (but not only) and fully explore its magnificent culture and places will never be able to do without someone like Michele.

Michele Piva was responsive and helpful in structuring our itinerary before we left home. Not only did he provide expert guidance for our multi-day exploration of Puglia (including drivers/transportation), he also facilitated additional activities in which we wanted to participate, such as lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant, a private catamaran tour (including transportation to/from the harbor), and airport transfers, so that we truly had a one-stop, curated experience.
Michele clearly has both a breath and depth of knowledge of the entire region. His style is conversational and experiential, so that we were not overwhelmed, but had the opportunity to ask questions as we learned more about the history and trends of each village and site we visited.

All I can say is that this local Puglia travel company did it all for us. It exceeded my expectations on so many fronts. They planned a few trips for us during our stay. We were a super diverse group in age. Hard to make 4 adults, 4 teenagers and 2 younger kids like the same agenda and Michele (one of the owners ) amazed us all with a plan we all agreed upon. His masterpiece was a boat trip to the Ionian Sea that was the winner for our family. The boat was ready to go! Deep azure colored sea, bottle of Prosecco and plate of pasta that we devoured overlooking the sun drenched beaches.
The transportation was on time, clean and friendly always. The people Michele works with were always happy and seemed excited to have visitors to Puglia. They tried to connect with our group. One of the bus drivers we had (Giuseppe) was amazing. He bought a few bottles of wine for us! Had them chilled and ready for consumption after our super leisurely walk to Aberobello. We were touched that he did this on his on accord. Not part of any package.
Last highlight lost her phone. We departed form Italy Michele helped us secure it and send it back to us in the United States They didn't have to help us but they felt that was right thing to do- showing great honesty and pride in what they do.

Recomended! The walking tour was great with Michele,
He even took us with his car to the view point of the city. And of course we got to know about the history of the city, very interesting!

A wine tasting and lunch day at 2 Beautiful vineyards: Masseria Liveli and Masseria Altamira. Today was just superb. Beyond gorgeous. We had such a wonderful day. So enjoyable from start to finish. Thank you. It was so fantastic.

We had a great experience at masseria fragnite. The guide and the cheese workers showed truly passion for their work. The taste was really generous and delicious, being able to try the cheese a few minuts done by the cheese expert. If you wanna know about mozzarella and burrata this is your place, you wont regret it.
