What a wonderful intro to the Puglia region. While we have been to Italy several times this was our first time in Puglia. And while also tend to usually travel on our own, we saw the small group tour that Pietro puts on to be a great way to help in our understand of what sets Puglia apart. Pietro and Rosita were wonderful hosts. Easy to communicate with over the months before the tour took place and so very helpful and informative once the tour began. Highly recommend their services if heading to Puglia.

Exceptional tour of Puglia! I can’t really find the words to express how happy we were with our experience. Pietro is a fabulous guide with great knowledge and love of the area. We were based in Ostuni which was a beautiful white city which became particularly magical at night. Each morning two mini vans met our group of 10 to take us to the day’s adventure. What unique and stunning places we visited! Trulli houses in Alberobello, the stone city of Lecce, Bari, Polignano a Mare and the breathtaking Matera which is a must see. The tour was well planned with the perfect mix of activity and time to relax and savor. There was a lovely day of visiting a dairy where cheeses were made followed by a delicious lunch and a visit to an olive farm where we had an olive oil tasting. We are so grateful we saw this special part of Italy. We highly recommend Pietro’s tours. You will not be disappointed!

From the moment we booked our tour with Pietro we were confident that we would be looked after.
Pietro was polite and personable and always prompt in replying to emails. All communication from Pietro throughout the tour week was also efficient, well planned and coordinated.
The tour was amazing Pietro was an exceptional tour guide very passionate and knowledgeable about the places we visited on the tour over the five days. Being a small group tour was fabulous as we made some lovely connections with the other group members.
Our driver Francesco who picked us up during the tour was friendly and prompt. The luxury van was very comfortable and clean. Being picked up each day in a comfortable luxury van was great so we could sit back and enjoy the drive and views on our way to each of the places on the tour.
Nothing was too much trouble for Pietro -he answered any questions we had in regards to recommendations of accommodation in Ostuni where we were based for the tour and he also suggested other places to visit and accommodation in the region after our five-day tour finished with him and Rosita.
Pietro was also able to organise our private transfers to our next destinations after we finished the tour. All the drivers organised were prompt, polite and great at pointing out places of interest.
Pietro and Rosita were extremely professional from start to finish. We highly recommend booking your Puglian tour with Pietro and Rosita!

This was a special Italian experience - the combination of wonderful Pietro and Rosita and beautiful and interesting Puglia (and a wee bit of Basilicata) was what made it so good. Plus the food there of course! The small group format is so good, you can get to know everyone. And Pietro and Rosita are lovely, so knowledgeable about their home region and have all the recommendations for places to stay and eat at their fingertips. I highly, highly recommend.

My two friends and I had a fabulous time in southern Italy touring with Pietro. Each day is well planned out and includes activities, history and time on your own. If you don’t want the hassles of driving or researching where to stay or dine or what to see, his small group guided tours are for you. It’s the best way to fully immerse yourself in all that the Puglia region has to offer!

It was unforgettable trip to Puglia. I found Pietro’s tour company through Facebook recommendations, and I am so happy I did. Pietro and Rosita are passionate about the area they are from, sharing their love and appreciation for a beauty of this unique Italian region. Pietro was very friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. He always made sure that each of our small group members (10 of us) was comfortable and taken care of. We were able to see the most significant and interesting sites. We always have enough free time at each place, never rushed or pressed to be in hurry. Pietro’s recommendations for accommodations and dining were impeccable! I would highly recommend this small but precious travel company for everyone. Thank you, Pietro and Rosita

We just returned from a month in Italy, and spent the last 10 days of our trip in Puglia. It was our first time there and what a wonderful experience we had, primarily due to Pietro. The 5 day tour with him was excellent! From my first email to him in late August, until as recently as 2 days ago, Pietro impressed us on all fronts. We had been working via email with another tour company, but was not feeling comfortable with them. We found Pietro and his company, Puglialy, here on TripAdvisor. And what a find that was! From his response to my first email in late August, until as recently few days ago, Pietro was extremely responsive. Fast responses to my emails, responding to my questions, providing clear information was the norm. And when we arrive in Monopoli, simply outstanding service and touring.
The daily tours were varied, and all very interesting, and well-planned. Pietro does an excellent job of providing just the right amount information to engage and educate, and yet is extremely knowledgeable so that he can answer questions as they arise. He also kindly offered suggestions on accommodations, sights, restaurants for our last 5 days which we spent on our own. Truly a wonderful experience…mille grazie, Pietro!
We highly, highly recommend using Pietro and wish that he provided tours in other parts of Italy!

My friend and I went to Puglia this past September. We were based in Ostuni and did a 5 day tour with Pietro from Puglialy tours.
Pietro is a fantastic tour guide. He has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the history of Puglia which dates back thousands of years. The tours always included morning and afternoon sightseeing including stops to olive oil and cheese farms, churches, trulli houses and the 3rd oldest city in the world, Matera. 5 stars for Pietro and Puglia.

Using Puglialy and Pietro Calabrese for our first trip to Puglia was the best decision. From our first online inquiry, Pietro was prompt, thorough and thoughtful in his responses to answer questions and provide suggestions for our trip. He provided a variety of lodging options to select from and a number of fun activity options for before and after our tour with him. Our small group of 10 was made up of singles and couples from around the world, all English speaking and all staying in different lodging in Ostuni. We traveled each day in 2 very nice, comfortable mini-vans. The pace of the daily tour allowed time for Pietro to share the interesting history and cultural information on that day's itinerary, never feeling rushed. He has an excellent communication style and is clearly a history buff, offering interesting tidbits one would not get on a larger organized group tour. We enjoyed his dining recommendations and appreciated him coordinating our pre and post-tour activities. Puglialy and Pietro are a must if you plan to travel to Puglia - we highly recommend Pietro and his tour company.

Our week in Puglia with Pietro Calabrese was fantastic. Starting with his communication pre-booking, pre-travel and throughout the tour week, everything was well planned and coordinated. Each day we visited a different Puglia gem, learned interesting facts of the history of the region, saw wonderful sights plus had time to explore a bit on our own. Pietro is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to share the right amount of information to inform but not overwhelm. The visits to the olive oil farm and production facility and to the cheese farm were definite highlights along with the trulli houses of Alberobello and the sassi (grotto houses) of Matera.
We also enjoyed the fact that we had the evenings to ourselves to enjoy the great restaurants that Pietro recommended.
We highly recommend Pietro and his Puglialy tour.
