Overall a fantastic experience. Especially the lunch that was provided. Carlos was very knowledgeable & shared a lot of information. A delious orange cake made by Luiz (spelling??) was served with coffee on the way to Silves. Silves is a pretty little town with lot's of cafe's, interesting historical churches & a castle. The 2 hours we had in Silves was enough for a quick visit if you have the lunch on the boat.

We were really let down by this company. Booked a family fishing trip, advised to be there 15 minutes before the trip departs. We arrived in plenty of time and waiting. Eventually I saw we had received an email cancelling our trip 20 minutes before we were supposed to be there!! No notice whatsoever - we were already there, no one tried to call. Their excuse was that there was a mechanical problem with the boat, but we were looking at the boat and there was no one on it! Surely if they had found a mechanical issue that morning they would have been there and apologised to us waiting!! I think this was just an excuse. We had travelled from Portimao and the late notice meant it was too late to organise another excursion for that day. Felt really let down. Had a full refund but that's not enough when you've upset a whole day with a ridiculous notice period of cancellation. I would have thought some kind of credit would be offered for a future trip by way of apology, but not forthcoming. I would think twice before booking with this company! Incredibly disappointing.

Fantastic relaxing River Cruise to Silves. Luis and Carlos, our hosts, were friendly and great company, providing details of the history of the area and pointing out key landmarks. A delicious Lunch with plenty of wine and beer was provided. Highly recommended.

Excellent expérience, attentive guides and great trips. We travelled from further afield to book with them, I think we went on 2 or 3 trips now with this company.

Nothing special. They drive you to ocean and give small hooks to drop down. We took 4h trip, got only small “bite fish”. When we asked to get bigger fishes, they answered it’s not possible and need to take different trip. I reccomend to ask directly what are you going to fish, because for 470€ that was a bit scam. I trust, that these guys know how to catch big fish, but for this price, we where expecting to get something more.

Peaceful relaxing trip up river to Silves, an interesting and historic town.
We were well looked after by Carlos and Louis. Places of interest were pointed out and explained on the way as well as birds including Flamingoes and Storks.
We were served by Carlos with a good choice of drinks including sangria and a meal which included croutons with sardine and tuna pate and chorizo pate, grilled chicken , salad and crisps (chips), sliced orange with cinnamon.
The boat is solar powered and very peaceful taking a slow trip along the river so not disturbing wildlife or the bankside.
We had about 90 minutes to explore the historic.town of Silves with its cobbled streets, cathedral, archaeology museum and castle. (& cafes).
The trip back included drinks and further information about the land we passed.
Highly recommend this trip. Thank you Carlos and Louis Alvor Boat trips

Great adventure! Only concern was the location to take the tour. The location on Google Maps is in Alvor in the marina where they have a hut. However, the actual location of the boat is in Portimao. They were very good and had us picked up by shuttle and only ended up being late by a few minutes and took us back after. Good thing we were a 1/2 hour early. Their folks were all great. Would do again!

Relaxing river trip to Silves. The crew were very informative giving us a commentary during the trip. Silves is a lovely small town, the 2 hours we had there was the right amount of time. On the way back we had a delicious lunch prepared by the crew. Would highly recommend this trip.

A great trip - the cruise up the river was relaxing & informative thanks to our host’s knowledge of the area and it was great to hear about its history. The delicious home made cake with the coffee was a welcome treat and lunch didn’t disappoint - great hosts and a really enjoyable way to see more of the local area.

The crew gave us lots of interesting information about the caves and were really friendly, making the whole trip a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend.

Hoping to stay in Alvor with my family in June. There is 7 of us (5 children, 2 adults) sges range from 13 to almost 2. Would this trip suit us? Want to do something special with them. Thank you.

Morning. This is a trip in a RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat) exploring the caves to the East of Portimao. The company pick you up and take you to the boat and return you after the trip. The RHIB has 200 hp motor and the boat seats 9. My only observation was the seats. Not overly comfortable but practical, especially when you do the fast run back to port, about 5 miles. Great fun. Kids would love it.
The caves are spectacular and a definite camera moment and the boys will take you inside some of the caves. Great fun.
We booked our tour through Ticket shop and Travel Agency in Alvor. Ladies are all Canadian/Portuguese so speak English and are enthusiastic. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Going to alvor with husband and teenage son (15) in august and hoping to do the 2 hour family fishing trip just want to ask is it possible for only 3 people to do this trip or is there a minimum amount of people

Hi, the minimum amount we need is 4 people to go ahead with any trip. August is a busy month so it should be no problem getting the minimum amount needed, just make sure to book at the beginning of your holiday so you are flexible with days. thank you

En el navegamos nosotros era para diez personas, pero tienen para más pasajeros, el recorrido dura unas dos horas, desde que zarpas, no recuerdo exactamente el precio, pero fue el más económico de los que miramos. Siendo un grupo de 16, podréis negociar, nosotros lo contratamos con un día de antelación

No we don’t go as far as the benagil cave on the Luxury Coastal Cruise. We have a separate trip for the Benagil Caves on a smaller faster boat.
