We had a great time making truffles. Good fun and lots of tasty treats and recipes to take home! Definitely recommend trying this, especially if the weather is poor.

We had a fab morning at Alba Chocolate making chocolate bars. Would throughly recommend to anyone our whole group really enjoyed themselves.

Booked the chocolate bar workshop at very short notice. We had four children aged between 11-16 . Gemma was so generous with her knowledge and we made lots of beautiful chocolate bars and shapes . Gemma’s manner in the workshop was so laid back and really encouraging and we were all so surprised at how amazingly they turned out ! We had the best afternoon of our holiday and would definitely return next time we are here . Thank you so much Gemma !

We had a lovely afternoon with a Gemma teaching us the intricacies of making fantastic chocolate truffles.
The process of making the chocolates plus a little science behind it made a fun, educational and lots of very tasty product!!
Would definitely recommend- thanks Gemma working our way through them !

Fantastic and relaxed morning gaining knowledge how to make, taste and enjoy chocolate, with some fun on the designs and making of the chocolates.
We enjoyed how everything was relax and slightly messy (of chocolate) and we were surrounded by enjoyable people.

the Chocolate class is a must do to if you enjoy learning how to make truffles. We had a wonderful time making our truffles. The teacher is very down to earth and really enjoys teaching people the art of chocolate making.

The chocolate lovers paradise...
We had an absolutely amazing day at Alba Chocolate making truffles. We booked a Private class but you can also join in with other groups.
We got to make lots of chocolates, learnt the History and Science behind chocolate making and even got to lick the bowls!!
Gemma was amazing, answering endless questions and helping with all our needs.
We'll definitely be back for Easter Egg classes and Christmas presents.

Had an absolute blast today, thank you so much! We were shown step by step how to make the most amazing truffles and learnt so much ... Gemma, you were very patient with us!! Definitely a thumbs up from all that have tried them so far - “oh this one is lovely”, “oh no this one is better”, “oh wait a minute I think I like these ones the best”. So I think overall, they all were delicious!

We visited on a grey day, as a change to walking and cycling in the region. We're weren't disappointed. Making the truffles was great fun and they were certainly good enough to give as gifts (in fact, too good - we're selfishly eating them all ourselves!). Gemma was very knowledgeable, interspersing the truffle making with some interesting facts about the history of chocolate. All in all we would definitely recommend a visit.

Hi, Craig.
Thank you for your question. We can run bar-making and truffle-making vegan workshops. Our dark and extra dark chocolates are vegan but we don't do any vegan 'milk' or 'white' chocolate. When making dairy-free truffles we show you a technique called a 'water ganache' which uses water instead of a dairy-free cream substitute and gives you a much purer flavour.
On our open courses, we have white, milk, dark (vegan) and extra dark (vegan) chocolates available to work with. If you want a private course, we could run it with just dark and extra dark chocolates. We don't use eggs on our chocolate workshops.

Thanks for asking. Our usual visitors are adults, although we are happy for children older than 10 to take part as long as someone is with them.
If you make a group booking, such as for a birthday party, we can tailor the workshop to your group for a special memorable day.
