The creation of an elderly German lady with a glorious eye for colour and shape, this is stuffed with wonderful plants and trees (and somewhat too many quirky bits of sculpture). A series of terraces, pools, Mediterranean plantings of spectacular iris, roses, aquilegia, herbs and vegetables all joined by winding "serpentine" paths and steps it was a joy to visit.

Doris gave us a personal friendly and very informative tour of her garden. And a look at her very interesting house.
All well worth a visit for an hour or more.
A huge range of interesting plants from all over the world. Some great stories behind their acquisition.
Lovely 40 min walk along the trail from Tsagarada.
Also accessible from the upper main road.
Voluntary contributions for upkeep of the garden.

Περπατούσαμε με τον φίλο μου στα μονοπάτια του χωριού, όταν χρειάστηκε να ρωτήσουμε τη μοναδική περαστική, την Doris, για το πού έπρεπε να στρίψουμε. Η συνέχεια ήταν μαγική! Μας έδειξε το δρόμο, αλλά μας μίλησε και για τον κήπο της! Ήταν κάπως ατημέλητος, αρχή της σεζόν γαρ και μετά από έντονη βροχόπτωση, αλλά η Doris μας έδειξε αναλυτικά σχεδόν κάθε λουλούδι και φυτό στον κήπο της! Μου άρεσε και η ποικιλία και ο ενθουσιασμός της για το έργο της! Οταν μας χαιρέτισε στην πόρτα, είδαμε ότι κανονικά δέχεται με ραντεβού. Η τύχη ήταν με το μέρος μας!

We happened to be in the right place at the right time. Heard about the place,phoned -it was afternoon already. A nice lady who answered said :if you come now, it is still open. It turned out that the lady was serpentine garden's owner and creator. What we saw was a magical and natural garden,organically grown with rare plants and common ones,all live in harmony,a sweet old Labrador dog who is extremely friendly, two sweet cats and of course the very interesting and courageous,Mrs. Doris Schlepper, who showed us all the garden and explained about the different types of plants. We enjoyed the tour very much !!thank you Mrs. Schlepper ❤

It was a pleasure meeting Doris, She made a paradise for herself and her guests.
We recieved a private tour throughout her vast garden comprised od rare plants from all around the world! We felt she really piured her heart and soul into this garden. a unique experience, highly recommended for green lovers!

E' già la seconda volta che visito il giardino di Doris ed è un piccolo paradiso di colori in una già verde zona. Maggio poi è uno dei mesi ideali per vederlo e Doria vi illustrerà molte delle sue piante rare. Da non perdere.

Beautiful garden. Signposted from tsagarada but visits by appointment only. Doris the garden owner makes a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Well worth a visit when in the locality. Donations welcome.
