Great value for money to go to Ayamonte. The port for the ferry is right in the town, very close to the main square. Easy to get tickets (the office opens 15 minutes before). In the low season remember to check the times at the office or on the boat on a Sunday as there are fewer trips. The journey time is about 15 minutes so excellent for a morning or afternoon. We used this a few times. Remember that the shops will close at lunchtime (around 2pm) in Ayamonte and won't open up until later (around 4pm or a bit later) so time your visit accordingly unless you've planned to have lunch and wait. There are plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants to eat at.

After the bus didn't come as it was supposed to when I was on my way to Portugal, it was the boat instead. nothing I regret, on the contrary it was a nice trip over Guardian. It was cheap and you can take the car with you if you need to.

Paseo en barco en el que puedes incluir el coche. Paseo agradable de unos 20' contemplando el tío Guadiana y las aves que lo sobrevuelan

Boa alternativa de passeio de VRSA até Ayamonte, com barcos de 30 em 30 minutos.
Deixo na foto as tarifas para Agosto 2022, pois todas as que consultamos pela internet estão desatualizadas.

Um bom e descontraído momento, atravessando o Guadiana enquanto contemplamos a paisagem. Vale pela experiência e o custo por pessoa é extremamente acessível.

si il n'y a pas suffisamment de passagers des traversées sont annulées..... et attention il y a un décalage horaire entre les 2 berges qui ont un impact sur les horaires.....

Cómodo y rápido medio de transporte que une Ayamonte con Castro Marim, ciudad portuguesa al otro lado del guadiana, en unos 10 minutos y por poco menos de dos euros de ida y otros tantos de vuelta re plantas en Portugal, buen sitio para comprar textiles a buen precio

We've used this ferry several times when we've been to Portugal - "just going to Spain for lunch". Real old-fashioned transport - would be good if there were a bar on board, though!

🇪🇸Muy mala y peligrosa experiencia! (18/07/20)
Le pido a un empleado el gel para desinfectarme las manos y el hombre alto y calvo que usa lentes oscuros me dice:
"No ¡Cuando tengas un barco harás lo que quieras!" todos estos gritando frente a los clientes, comportamiento peligroso durante la pandemia de Covid19 y baja educación del empleado.

I asked an employee for the gel to disinfect my hands and the tall bald man who wears dark glasses tells me:
"No, when you have a boat you will do whatever you want!" all of these yelling in front of customers, dangerous behavior during the Covid19 pandemic, and low employee education.

Je demande à un employé le gel pour me désinfecter les mains et le grand homme chauve qui porte des lunettes noires me dit:
"Non, quand tu as un bateau tu feras ce que tu veux!" tous ces cris devant les clients, comportement dangereux pendant la pandémie de Covid19 et peu d'éducation des employés.

Depois de encher a barriga num almoço em Ayamonte, sabe bem atravessar o Guadiana nas calmas enquanto se aprecia a vista e as medusas que nadam no rio.

Yes New schedule, not yet on website from 15Sept to 31st March, at present from 9.30-21.00 expect may stop little earlier. Have been and hope to go this October. Adult1.90 e. Leave portugal on half hour and Spain on hour.single ticket at each terminal. Passport required to board
