We visited the farm based on a recommendation and it is fantastic!
What stood out to us the most is how all the extras are included whereas at most farms you would pay extra for the train, the lamb bottle-feeding, the soft play etc but nope it was all included in the price! (The only extra is the £1.50 for a good sized bag of animal feed!)
Lamb bottle-feeding (seasonal) was taking place 3 times a day. The children are given a milk bottle each to feed the lambs which was a super hands-on and fun experience. There was lots of other Goats, horses, sheep, alpacas and llamas around to hand feed your bag of animal feed too. Lots of animals! There was a couple of baby Goats that just seemed to go rogue and keep escaping but they were funny to watch! 🤣
There was also a room with rabbits and guinea pigs in and another room with spiders, snakes and reptiles in. There was a lovely lady around who would take animals out so you can hold them and she would answer any questions you had.
The highlight for us was the train ride which departed 3 times a day and it is free! 10 min ride each way with a 5 min stop off at a small play area. It was fab! I can't believe it's all included.
There was also a small soft play, small ride on tractors and an outdoor play area. There is also a lovely sheepdog called Nell who was seemingly in charge and forever wandering around the place (we loved her!)
There was a cafe which we didn't eat at. We brought our own food and was planning on eating outside but the lady said we are allowed to eat our own food in the cafe which was lovely (we did buy hot drinks from there). The cafe is next to the soft play all in one area conveniently.
The staff were all just brilliant and really did go the extra mile. Animals all well looked after with adequate space to roam around.
Such a brilliant place and easy to spend a full day here! We'll be back! :)

Visited in February with the 4 kids who were excited to see all the animals there. The girls most enjoyed seeing the Shetland ponies and the boys loved the tractors they could ride on! Lots of bits of bobs for the kids to do aside from the animals and they went on the playground a couple of times over the course of the day. We didn’t do the train ride as it was absolutely freezing but if we came again we would come during the summer and perhaps enjoy it a bit more! Lunch was expensive, next time we will take a picnic! The kids also enjoyed the indoor soft play area, looks small from the website but kept them entertained for a while.

First time visiting and we can’t wait to go back. We took our 10month old and she loved it, so much for her to look at. Shes too young to fully experience everything but so much she could do. Lovely farm, staff very friendly and helpful.

Great day at Windmill farm yesterday! Lots to do whatever the weather and a big thanks to the lovely staff there; especially the farmer who noticed my little boy struggled with noise and wears ear defenders- he kindly offered 1-1 opportunities to participate in activities to ensure my son didn’t miss out if it was too noisy for him. This level of understanding really does mean a lot thank you!!

Lovely day out with the grandchildren. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and no pressure to spend more. Large cafe with brilliant soft play areas. Children especially enjoyed feeding the animals and the play area.

Great family day out. Friendly knowledgeable staff. There are lots to see from Alpacas to snakes.
The café is reasonably priced with a excellent soft play area. You could easily
spend a full day there.

I just want to say such a massive thank you to all the staff but especially santa! My little boy is non verbal autistic and we came today along with my neice.
Firstly we encountered a kind young man who helped us pet the bunny's and guiniepigs making sure my son got an opportunity and also making my nieces day with petting a guinipig. The young man was wonderful and kind.
There was also a kind young lady at the Santa's grotto that came round and spoke to us all and was so friendly and kind to the children.
Santa was also so incredible he spotted my sons harness and badges and immediately adjusted and was so kind, patient and friendly making sure to not only make my neice feel special but my son also. I can't tell you how this kindness and acceptance ment to us as a family, watching my son light up was everything!! What a wonderful and magical experience.
The animals are wonderful but honestly the staff made the experience today and brought so much joy to my son and of course my niece but honestly from a mummy that finds outings hard and stressful sometimes because there can be so much judgement in the world the staff made it so special and easy.

Had a wonderful trip here today. It's a brilliant place to take the family. It's so clean, the staff are all really friendly and they went out of their way to show my daughter some baby ginea pigs which was really special. Lots of different breeds of farm animals as well as a guinea pig/bunny room and a room with snakes, spiders, lizards etc. As well as the animals there's lots of other things to do, play areas, ride on toys and a gift shop. We ate in the cafe and the food was nice, fresh and really good value for money.

Last Sunday we visited Windmill Farm for a day out celebrating our sons 7th birthday.
All I can say is.... What a fantastic day it was!!!
The weather was beautiful, the farm was fabulous, clean and tidy and as for the staff, I couldn't fault them at all.
All of the staff members were smiling, singing and super welcoming. From the young lady on the entrance desk to the guys working on the petting area and the reptile house. The gentleman in the reptile area remembered all of my children's names throughout the day and the kids kept going back to visit him.
The staff are what make this place!!
The indoor play area and cafe was super clean and very reasonably priced, whether you're having lunch there or dropping in for a drink after having a picnic, whish is what we did.
There are so many different areas to this lovely farm, from the animals to the train, maze and go karts. My teenage son even had fun!
Thanks again for a wonderful day and we can't wait to visit again around Christmas!!

No. If he is anything like our young grandson he will enjoy the animals, the soft play and the little train. There is outdoor play too.

Yes you can. There is lovely picnic benches outside & when we went in October lots of families having lunch on them . You could leave your picnic in car till you have finished & then go & get it. Enjoy
