Bayrisches Geschäft mit witzigen Sachen die jeder braucht T-Shirt und mehr mit bayr. Sprüchen.Karten, Mitbringsel zum Lachen und für jeden. Chiemseewasser, Odl für die Geniesser. Bayr. Romane und vieles mehr. Ein Erlebnis für die Liebhaber, Besucher und Einheimischen.

I do not really understand the previous english review since it refers to a (probably0 beautiful place ... which has nothing to do with what this page is about.
This page is about a souvenir shop located right next to the tickets selling booth for the Chiemse Ferry.
Since you might have to wait up to 30 minutes for your ferry, visiting this souvenir shop can be a good idea.
They have nice enough articles.
I would have gladly given a 4 star rating however this place is just good and not really "very good"...
a 3.5 star would be the right rating

Toller Laden mit allerlei (moderen) Krimskrams und freundlicher Bedienung. Hatten leider nicht genug Zeit um die ganze Auswahl zu betrachten und deswegen nur ein paar Kleinigkeiten gekauft.
Im Vergleich zu anderen Souvenirshop in der Gegend mit Abstand der Beste und auch preislich total in Ordnung

Für die Mitbringsel, die man hinterher bei Ebay verkaufen möchte, das ideale Geschäft. Mir persönlich fehlt es ein wenig an Authentizität mit der bayrischen Heimat.

......und sehr kurzweilig. Hier findet man immer etwas, egal zu welcher Gelegenheit. Freundliche Bedienung /Inhaber. Wertet den Priener Einzelhandel auf!

Sehr nettes Geschäft mit vielen witzigen Artikeln, die für die Gegend hier typisch sind. Auch für Souvenirs und Andenken ist dieser kleine Shop ein absolutes Muss.

Das Servus ist ein sehr schöner Laden in Prien.
Hier bekommt man wirklich sehr schöne Mitbringsel.
Die Bedienung war super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Fast immer ist hier ein Geschenk zu finden - und es gibt ihn: den Chiemseeaufkleber - die bayerische Antwort auf den Syltaufkleber! Leider sind manche Produkte nicht sehr hochwertig wie mein Schlüsselanhänger, schnell ohne Schrift, dann trennten sich die Filzlagen.

This review is about Bernau Am Chiemsee, as a scenic village up on the verdant Alps.
Let me warn you, it is NOT a very easy place to locate. After turning out of the Salzburg-Innsbruck autobahn, there are quite a few twists and turns which are not very well documented on Google Maps.
I missed the left turn up into the hills quite a few times.
These paths are aplenty in the area, with each leading up to a village more beautiful than the other! AND it IS difficult to get help from the locals! One, you'll hardly find people on the main roads. Even if you do, it's difficult to understand their directions due to language issues. English Language is, still, definitely not on the average German's list of priorities.
However, once you have located the village and the place of your stay, its only bliss.
Apart from vehicles, everything else, all around you, could be from the fairytales!
The green Alpine glades stretch as far as you can see or your super-zoom can focus on.
Sleepy villages, colourful cattles grazing and village folks in traditional Bavarian attire.
Its a landscape I have dreamt of fantasised about since I could remember.
Given a fair chance, I'd forever stay there!
If the weather is good, you can walk for hours, drink from the streams, soak in the purest of blue skies and lushest of green valleys, pick a perfectly reddened apple or plum from the open orchard or simply snooze off in the beautiful silence punctuated only by distant mooing or an occasional flutter from a pea-fowl's flight.
It is highly recommended that you enjoy the twilight and the slow fading of light (that happens pretty late, around 19:30-20:00) from a distance. The way village buildings and monuments light up in the pitch darkness is inexplicably romantic.
Most local hotels are wonderful. Their wine cellars are vast, but the depth in the food menu is awfully inadequate. But lets not forget that its Germany.
Overall one leaves Bernau with a heavy heart after such a wondrous stay.
As I twisted the steering to leave the trail and head towards the modern Autobahn, my car's wheels seemed to protest too...
