it was a great experience, very friendly with nice staff. The fondue was delicious as well as the meringues with cream from Gruyère.

Superb experience in the heart of the Friborg mountains. There is snow here and a good hour and a half to walk around Gstaadt. Fondue and double cream meringues at the Top! Very kind and attentive staff

Arriving late, we were able to join the train later, so great.
Great on-board service, friendly, with a smile and humor.
Remember to take your garlic clove 😉
Almost a shame that we stay in Montbovon for so long (we could drive a little more..)
I recommend with friends or even lovers!

Superb region. Very good fondue as well as the double cream meringue. Very nice to prepare the fondue yourself. On the other hand, the 3 hour stop at Montbovon station is too long. 1 hour and a half would be more than enough.

What an experience! It would be a shame to be in that part of Switzerland and miss out on the Train Fondue. We had the chance to do the Christmas one which goes all the way to Saanen (near Gstaad) and leaves you there to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the christmas market.
The train is gorgeous, the fondue is really good and the staff extremely friendly. The landscape is beautiful and you enjoy it at a slow pace which is very rare these days. A must do!

Penser à réserver le train est magnifique si vous aimez pas la fondue il faudra choisir bien à l’avance il y a de la charcuterie Suisse avec une bonne salade de carottes un bon service une bonne Meringue suisse à la crème double le personnel est vraiment d’une gentillesse exemplaire merci

Très beau moyen de se rendre au festival des ballons de Château d’Oex. Après 1h20 de trajet avec le repas pour accompagner les paysages enneigés, belle pause pour une promenade la tête levée vers les montgolfières puis retour avec le dessert. Train très bien rénové et personnel attentif et accueillant

Train sympathique et très bien remis au niveau depuis la date de fabrication en 1922. Fondue à bord tient ses promesses, rien dire sur le service a bord. Cependant, on passe plus de temps à l’arrêt en gare qu’on roule pour découvrir des paysages plus que moyen… dommage, on reste sur sa faim.

Nous trouvons que c'est une belle arnaque. Le train ne roule vraiment que quelques minutes à l'aller et au retour,le reste du temps il est arrêté à des endroits pas pittoresque du tout , gare , dépôt de matériaux ,.. la fondue n'est pas très bonne ( vin 5 étoiles pour la base de cuisson , équivalent à la villageoise en France ?) Vous ne verrez que quelques bouts de paysage, et encore si vous êtes du bon côté du wagon , car les moins chanceux seront côté route , youhou !
Personnel très gentil , intérieur des wagons très agréable cependant.

We departed from France on our fourth day. It was actually a sad time because we adjust to the France custom so well. But from other side we made up our mind because we were heading our journey to Switzerland by Swizz train to gain new experience . Our father booked tickets early so it became very easy for us. I wanted to say train was very luxurious and they provided us a good service. To my point of view this Paris to Zurich train journey was very marvelous. We saw country roads ,climate changing, grand cities, green mountains and of cause snow mountains. If you can see them you will feel like you are blessed in so many ways. So I am telling you traveler if you have a dream to see them don't wait go and enjoy your life .

Nous pensons prendre le train avec 2 bébés et 2 adultes. Y'a t'il des chaises hautes à bord pour les bébés? Ou peuvent-ils reste dans la poussette?

Not sure as we had a rental car!! Taxis I would imagine would be quite expensive ( it is Switzerland!). However, if you 'google' the trip Montreux to Bulle (where the fondue train originates) it gives train connections and journey times.....
