This is a very nice park with a pond, adjacent to the holy fish lake of Balikligol.
Park has many benches to rest with walking paths and small bridges over the canal.
In the middle is a small pond dedicated to king Nimrud's daughter who was embarrassed with her father's deeds throwing prophet Abraham into the fire.
Nice bar/restaurant by the lake to enjoy your drink with Urfa castle view above.

Abraham, who is regarded as the prophet and ancestor of all humanity by three great monotheistic religions(Islam, Christianity, Judaism), was thrown into the fire, and the first kingdom to believe in Jesus was established with his people(Hagion Mandylion),re-questioning what we know about Göbeklitepe and the Neolithic period discovered in archaeological excavations,where the last temple of sin(moon good), one of the great belief systems of the fertile crescent region(Nabonidus was the last king of the Neo-Babylonian Empire-harran) ,Home to the traditional conical houses of the fertile crescent region(harran),Holy city where Syriacs(ancient of the Eastern Orthodox ) spread to the world for the first time,Sanlıurfa(Urhai, Orhai, Ruha,Edessa) city, which is the only place in the world where black rose(Halfeti) grows in its natural environment …

Although it has not yet been proven archaeologically and scientifically, it is a sacred handkerchief(Hagion Mandylion) that is constantly told by many travelers and historians of the ancient period and recent history. after the death of Alexander the great, Seleucids were established in the lands shared by their commanders; Seleucids were established by I. Seleukos (Seleuco I Nicátor)in Syria ,Anatolia,Pakistan, India, Eastern Mediterranean, Iran, Turkmenistan, Iraq (BC 312-63). the weakening of the Seleucids due to internal confusion and rebellions in the 2nd century BC revealed many ancient kingdoms within their territory. one of them was the kingdom of Osrhoene (Edessa-Abgar),founded by the Arami people(BC 132 - AD 244). the city was given the name edessa by the Hellenes. Edessa is a town on the edge of the Edhessaisos River in Macedonia. at that time, when Jesus was trying to explain Christianity under difficult conditions, there were V Abgar ukkama in the kingdom of edessa. the king falls ill with leprosy and begins to suffer.he can't find a solution to his illness.at that time, he learns that a prophet named Jesus appeared in Jerusalem, inviting people to believe in God, and he healed the sick and resurrected the dead. Hannan (Ananias), who is also a good painter, sends a letter to Jesus because the king cannot go himself due to his illness. in his letter, he says that he believes that he is the messenger of God, and that he will choose his faith along with his people, and invites him to Edessa. Jesus writes a letter to the King, stating that he cannot come, but he is very happy that he is in charge of this land. at this time, the King's Messenger tries to make a portrait of Jesus on a handkerchief, but he cannot draw it. King abgar heals and the Holy handkerchief and letter are stored in edessa for centuries. . He goes down in history as the first monarch to accept Christianity with his people. today, the origins of Syriacs(Yakubians Syriacs) come from here.By the Catholics who besieged the city in AD 944, the holy relics found in the city of edessa were exchanged for Muslim prisoners and the holy relics were moved to Istanbul. sacred handkerchiefs of about 3 centuries are preserved here. During the 4 Crusades, the handkerchief disappears. the fate of the handkerchief is currently unknown, with sources claiming it was hidden in the Vatican. a copy of the letter in Greek and written on a rock is photographed 1890 by a German archaeologist scientist Max von Oppenheim around a cave near balıklı Lake in sanliurda today. Unfortunately, today there is no evidence from the letter of Jesus written on the stone.

In Turkish Zeliha is the "Su perisi" and the story is also told in the Holy books. Its in the same central area as the Abraham cave and waters so you really should not miss it.

The story of zeliha which is the story of the water fairy" which turned into a white fish. I understand this is also in the holy books within the story of Abraham.

Urfa’ya iş amacıyla gittim..Bundan 3 yıl kadar önce defalarca gitmeme rağmen ben de aynı etkiyi bırakmamıştı..Bütün tarihi alt üst edecek kadar bir tarihe sahip bir coğrafyada olması beni gerçekten de daha çok cezbetti..İnsanları çok doğal olduğu gibiler..Yemek kültürü olarak beklentiyi çok uçuk tutmayın derim..Genellikle salaş yemek yerleri mevcut ve fiyatları inanılmaz ucuz..Bunun yanında Urfa sıra geceleri oldukça ünlü bilindiği üzere.Ben de ilk defa gitmeme rağmen tam bir hayal kırıklığı yaşadım;tabi ki bu kişiden kişiye göre değişkenlik gösterir,fakat gittiğimiz ekip üyelerinin çoğu hüsranla döndü..Ticarileştikçe her şeyde olduğu gibi artık o eski sıra gecelerinin de bi büyüsü kalmamış ne yazık ki..Urfa merkez de gidip görmenizi şiddetle tavsiye edebileceğim yerlerin başında göbekli tepe ve Urfa müzesi geliyor..Göbekli tepe de şu an hala çalışmalar devam ediyor..Tarihi değiştirebilecek kadar bir öneme sahip ve hala tümüyle çözüme kavuşturulabilmiş değil..Türkiye de böyle bir şey keşfedilmiş ve bunu bizim iyi değerlendirmemiz gerekiyor..Orada bunu çok fazla göremedim ne yazık ki..Ama Urfa müzesi gerçekten bugüne kadar gördüğüm müzelerin en iyisiydi.Mutlaka bir gününüzü bu müzeye ayırmalısınız.Müze çok büyük ve her bir alanında wooww oluyorsunuz..Daha anlatacağım bir sürü şey olmasına rağmen bu yazımı burada sonlandırmak zorundayım Urfa’da geçirilen 18 gün çöl ikliminden çıkıp Ege iklimine girince çarpıyor insanı malum..Haa bu arada şöyle balıklıgöle karşı çifte mağara da bir menengiç kahvesini tatmadan gelmeyin derim.Ama üzeri bol Antep fıstıklı olsun☺️

Urfa'da Balıklı Göl parkının içinde, yemyeşil ağaçlar arasında bulunuyor ve içi balık dolu.. Etrafındaki kafelerde oturup hoş vakit geçirebilirsiniz. Nemrut'un kızı Zeliha'nın efsanesine göre yukarıdaki kaleden mancınıkla atılan ateşine suya,yanan odunların balıklara dönüştüğüne inanılıyor ve kutsal kabul edilen bu balıklar yenilmiyor. Etrafındaki kafelerin çokluğu burayı kutsallıktan uzaklaştırıp ticari hale getirmiş. Yine de şehirde görülecek bir mekan.

Balikligolun hemen yanibasinda yesillikler icindeki gölcük.mesire yeri gibi.caybahceleri var çevresinde .cok kalabalikti. Buraninda bir efsanesi var.Nemrutun hz.ibrahime inanxn özkizini öldürdügu yer oldugu söyleniyor.

Nemrut un kizi Zeliha atesin icine bu bolgeye düşmüş. Balıklı gölün yakınında. Bu kucuk gol de ateşin suya, yanan odunların da balıklara döndüğüne inanılan balıklarla dolu. Bu balıklar da kutsal kabul edilip yore halkinca asla yenmiyor. Balıklara yem verip, cocuklardan ufak bahşişlerle gölün hikayesini dinleyebilirsiniz.

Artık gittiğim saatten miydi neydi bilmiyorum, bu mekanın ışığı ve havası bambaşka. Sanki masallardan ya da rüyalardan fırlamış gibi. Çok kıymetli olduğunu hissettiriyor.
