We love Northumberlandia as a great place for a walk. They often do different hunts around the wooded bits which we love with our 4 year old. The walk is buggy friendly but a sling is better for going up the hills. The coffee shop is really nice and the staff are always friendly

Visited on 26/4/23. Great place. Good for exploring. Kids love it. Little shop/coffee/ toilet facilities. Not too busy. Wonderful photos.

Called by here as drove past before so decided to go with family first time, it was a chilly day and breezy and made it more of a challenge but good walks here and amazing views also a good little cafe with decent menu,small wooded walks and you can decide how far to walk or climb a fab feature and kept in great condition.a must visit if nearby

Lovely space to walk the dogs and enjoy the views, with quite the best cheese scones ever on offer in the cafe! I had a plain cheese (delicious) and my husband had the cheese, bacon and black pudding variant. Really great baking, lovely service too.

We really enjoyed this walk and the views it provided of the surrounding countryside.
I thought it was a good use of what would otherwise have been an eyesore opencast mine.
Intead we have a fantastic artwork the public can enjoy and benefit from.
I think the volunteers who work here really do an excellent job keeping this attraction maintained and open.
Very highly recommended as a very unusual attraction and a fantastic walk suitable for all ages and mobility categories.

Great little walk, windy at the top of the hills, definitely need to wear wellies or walking boots. Plus the snowy owl pub next door is lovely and warm with real fires and amazing food

Spent a lovely couple of hours walking around here to break our journey north. We were really impressed with the site, the stalls and facilities. Well worth the discretionary £3.00 we paid to enter.

To my shame I wasn’t aware of this location until my wife mentioned that she would like to visit it during our recent break in Northumberland. Unfortunately, our visit coincided with the funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth ll so the visitor centre and café weren’t open. However, this didn’t detract from our overall pleasant experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our walk, all the footpaths are immaculately maintained and easily accessible for those with reduced mobility, there was a lady using the lower paths on a small mobility scooter. There are plenty of benches and picnic tables. Although we didn’t explore the high paths (saved for another occasion) we fully enjoyed our visit. What a beautiful tranquil location.

Lovely walk amongst lovely woodland. Also the opportunity to visit the Lady of the North. Good photographic opportunties.

TBH I don't know - I've never seen any off their leads but there are no wardens or anything there so I guess it would be up to individuals - obviously school holidays tend to b quite busy so u may want to visit when it's a bit quieter
Is there a charging point for electric vehicles please?
