Miles of Rhodedendrons. Varieties of them. Nature at it's best. Rhodedendrons bloom in April and May and it was a delight.

During our visit of North Sikkim we visit this Rhododendron Sanctuary which was beautiful. The journey through the forest is amazing !

The place is very green and good and interesting.It is a good choice to visit.The sanctuary is good to visit.

Admittedly, we landed up at the Sanctuary at a time when snow had affected the flowering season. I am told that the sanctuary can be verdant with flowers or all hues of the season is right.
The sanctuary has good walkways and the surrounding mountains can surely make this a good place to be in. But then it’s not out of the ordinary when you consider that you are amongst the mountains anyway. Every sight is beautiful
Still, we took a nice stroll in the park and searched for remnants on rhododendron and other colourful flowers. The park can do with some upkeep though. I don’t think it’s the hawkers and authorities who are to blame as much as the visitors who I saw carelessly handle trash and plastic

Switzerland of India.Arguably, one of the best places we visited in our trip.The valley is so beautiful and in the 1st of week of may ,the valley was full of flowers.Spectacular display of colour by Nature.Dont miss this heavenly place.It is hardly an hour away from Lachung.

We visited in April which is just the beginning of the flower blossom season here. The roads are beautiful and its on the way to Yumthang Valley. No seperate entry fees required.

full of snow when we visit to last week, the valleys were full of snow, we passed a good time here since we cant reach to yumthung valley

Must visit during Summer and is on the way to Yumthang and Zero point. The valley would welcome you with pink and red, yellow, purple flowers against the snow-capped mountains will surely cast a spell on you. Red flowers Rhododendrons called as Gurass in local language. The red flower is used to make local wine, which tastes nice and it can be eaten raw and will taste sour and sweet. Locals inform that other color flowers are not to be eaten as they can get your stomach upset and fever.

There is no entry ticket. It is not a seperate destination as it lies on the way to Yumthang Valley. One can ask the driver to pull over at the side and get some pictures clicked. It is quiet here. It is advisable to visit during the months of March, April and May when the purple, white and red rhododendrons blossom because that's when the sanctuary looks adorned with different colours.
