We visited in mid August during monsoon season. Way to Wilson hill is amazing and very beautiful. After almost 20km from Navasari, from NH 8, we took turn to state highway SH 181 and when we arrived at Ghat road which is the way to reach to Wilson hills, was closed and police stopped us.
Anyways we had to go there..after enquiring with locals, we got to know another route at back side of hill. Although It was a lengthier route but beauty of nature was magnificent. Route was going from villages which was full of many small water falls, streams, lush green peddy fields..Driving was a real test of skills here as this is single lane narrow road going steep uphil.
Finally after reaching on hill top, there was view of valleys and mountains and nothing more. There were some villagers selling corn and tea. There is one restaurant also where you can have some snacks.
After spending an hour, we returned back and started journey from main route which is double lane ghat road.
Just after almost two kilometers, we stopped at Nahari hotel for lunch on roadside only but it was closed that day. In front of Nahari restaurant, there is a house which offered us good local food. Food was delicious at very low cost. Entire family was very good and they took us to a water fall nearby situated between peddy fields where we enjoyed a lot and has bath is flowing water.
Food served had home grown rice roti, daal, rice, alu ki sabzi, chatani, salads etc. There deserved much more money that what they charged to us. I simply paid double.
Ghat road is dangerous and one should be very careful while driving. Road is good bur steep turns and slope makes it difficult and risky. In monsoon, land slides also happens.
Altogether it was nature's trip and we were in the lap of nature. We never imgined of such beautiful place in Gujarat.
Although this beauty can be seen in Monsoon or just after monsoon.

If you want to experience raw nature, its the place. Waterfall, jungle, valley, mountains, field and what not.
A perfect 1 day trip to the place would make your memory worth of it.

I was at Dharampur ( Valsad Dist. Gujarat) on Saturday for an Official work. My work was finished at 1530. We were free and we had two options, 1. Visit Tithal beach which is 35 km from Dharampur and 2. Visit Wilson Hills which is 27 km from Dharampur.
We selected Wilson Hill to get some taste of ghat roads and green mountains. Wilson hill is located 27 km away from Dharampur city and is at a height of 750 m above sea level. The hill is known for a marble chhatri, dedicated to the British Governor Wilson. The 27km drive to Wilson hill was amazing with good ghat roads. The ghat road was amazing with some stiff inclines. The climate was amazing with frequent rains and clouds at the top. Wilson Hill is slowly turning in a tourist hotspot for a one day picnic. Gujarat tourism is investing hefty sums to attract more and more tourist to this place. Due to time restraint, we were not able to visit some of the beautiful and well-known waterfalls.
In my humble opinion. this place is best during winter and Monsoon. Monsoon is the best time to visit and experience green mountains and frequent rains. When we ere there the entire hill was covered with clouds and we were not able to see even 4 feet around us. Clouds blocked the vies of surrounding mountains. However, the climate was amazing and we enjoyed out one hour stay here. There are some very basic food joints. We didn't spot a single accommodation option at hill nither on the road. Saying that there is a new full-fledge Resort is under construction at the top of the hill
Some of the locals insisted us to visit some of the waterfalls, one of the well-known is Shankar Fall. But it was already dark and we had to drive back home, so we were not able to visit this falls. We are planning to come again to give justice to these waterfalls.

we visited on 14/18/11, and booked 4 cottages for four families, resort does not any facilities like sports or recreation they need to devlope them, restaurant food is ok and they can prepare their local food on demand.room are ok nothing special, willson Hill is not a very big Hill station and ther is not another hotel option too.so pls do advance booking on net. in think monsson is the best season to visit willson Hill, who visit willson hill can also visit barumala temple, science centre in dharampur and lady willson meseum in dharampur.

Visited this place with friends. It was a fun drive to this place. This place is suitable for monsoon or evening time only. If you go in the afternoon, it's very hot. There is no food, restaurants available. You will get chips, cold drink etc there. Not recommend for the aged people as access to the hill point is difficult for them.
Can spend 2 hrs at Max.
