‪Poor service from Lake Como Navigazione Laghi ferry company‬

‪Review concerns a broken down ferry on 20/8/22 and a still outstanding refund on 31/10/22. My advice would be don’t book online for the Navigazione Laghi ferry service on Lake Como. Despite numerous emails I have yet to receive the 93 euro refund. We waited for over 2 hours in very hot conditions with so many people in the queue that the police were called to do crowd control round it. I understand that break downs happen. Had I paid by cash I would have got a refund there and then but because I paid online, a service which is handy for not only me but the ferry company, I was told to apply via email for the refund. Am still waiting. Very poor treatment of tourist!‬

‪Fabulous sites and views, but signage for ferries almost non existent and where there is signage, its confusing, no timetable or information available at ticket kiosks , on line information only also hard to follow , difficult to plan a route or itinerary‬

‪Paid €300 for soft drinks and never received‬

‪We were so excited we booked the Boat Service for 3 boats (one for the guests and one for the groom and his best men and one for the bride (me) and my bridesmaids for our wedding day on 26th July. Drinks are not included in the price. My husband paid Creative Lake Service €300 cash for the drinks to Boat Service. It was not clear from the co ordinator, €300 was really for drinks for 3 boats and not 1 boat (the guests only). Unbeknown to me drinks was available and some reason my boat didn’t received any. 45 minutes journey to villa del Balbianello in a hot weather the bride should be glamourised on her wedding day especially her husband paid for drinks on the boat so everyone is hydrated. It was after the wedding my husband confirmed he paid the drinks in cash paid for us. I enquired with the Boat Service, the attitude was shocking, they said it was not their fault !!! Did the driver forgot? Or didn’t bother or didn’t bought the drinks ??? we paid for the service and didn’t get it. So being told it is NOT their fault sound like they were happy to RIP us off as they refused to partially refund back a goodwill just for one boat that went without drinks and didn’t care if we had heat stroke. Isn't it part of health and safety to provide drinks (what we paid for stay hydrated) in the hot weather??
Avoid, do not book Boat Service‬

‪Fabulous informative Boat 🚤 Trip‬

‪Spent a fabulous morning with Marco boating around Como.
He was very informative and gave us lots of info we wouldn’t have got if we’d rented one ourselves.
Boat was spotless. An all round great two hour trip visiting Varenna for a coffee, seeing Bellagio and the famous and historic villas dotted around the lake.
Thoroughly recommended 😁‬

‪Le loueur est d’une impolitesse rare ...
Nous avons malgré cela souhaité réserver un bateau à la location en début d’après-midi. Il nous a fixé un RDV à 14:30 (pas possible pour lui plus tôt) et n’est jamais venu !!!
Résultat, nous sommes rabattus vers son concurrent (Cadenazzi) mais avons perdu la moitié de l’après midi.‬

Boat Service Lake Como

Cher Madame/Monsieur, Je crois que vous vous trompé. Notre entreprise ne loue pas des bateaux. Nous travaillons exclusivement avec des bateaux avec chauffeur. On vous prie de vouloir bien verifier la compagnie avec laquelle vous avez réservé. Merci e bonne journée.

‪Wonderful Boat Trip ‬

‪My wife and I took a two hour boat trip in Lake Como from the Relais Villa Vittoria hotel in Laglio, south to Como and back. Our captain Flavio gave us an excellent and educational tour of the southern part of the lake. He was extremely knowledgeable and catered the trip to what we were looking for: a relaxing few hours on the boat with a mix of history and culture. You will not be disappointed!‬
