Have a nice dive. Everything is well arranged and the stuff is in order. Several languages are spoken which might be nice for a swim.

I went to Manta Dive at Gilli T for 5 days of fun dives, and they were indeed super fun haha! The staff and the atmosphere are great, very welcoming, organized and helpfull. All my dives were with Oleng, he is an amazing Divemaster, I could really enjoy every minute of the dives feeling safe and really happy. He was always in a good mood and gave me many good tips that helped with my improvement and enjoyment. I'm definitely going back to Manta Dive next time I'm at Gilli T.

Honestly one of THE best experiences I have ever done. I had never dived before and am terrified of the sea (but still love doing water activities!) so booked a discovery diving session to see what it was like.
We spent lots of time in the pool learning the key safety procedures with our instructors Robbie and Julia, who were so supportive.
Before the dive into the sea, I was so close to pulling out because I was so petrified! But I am so glad I didn’t- Robbie and Julia stayed with us the whole time, and I felt so safe despite being metres down in the water! We saw a baby shark and an eel amongst other amazing creatures you wouldn’t be as likely to see doing something like snorkelling, and I quickly realised the sea isn’t half as terrifying as I once thought.
If you are on the fence about trying diving, I would absolutely say give it a go! I went from being petrified to now wanting to do my diving certification! Thank you so much to the Manta dive team!

Wow, what an incredible journey from being terrified of the sea to wanting to get certified—this is exactly why we love what we do! It’s completely normal to feel nervous before your first dive, and we’re so glad that Robbie and Julia helped you feel safe and supported the whole way through.
And what a first dive—baby shark, eel, and all! It’s true, there’s nothing quite like scuba diving to get up close to the amazing marine life around the Gilis.
If you’re thinking about taking the next step, we’d love to see you back here for your Open Water course. You’ve already conquered the hardest part, and from here, it just keeps getting better.

I cannot recommend Manta Dive highly enough. Mr Majik was simply amazing getting me booked into the refresher course and subsequent dives. All the Divemasters and staff were super friendly and really patient. Olly was superb taking me through the refresher course, so knowledgeable and made things so easy to pick up again. Ozy & Ding were both awesome Divemaster's as well. Hats off to Ding for putting up with just me on my last 2 dives as well but what awesome & amazing dives they were. Both took the time to get to know me, my abilities, any apprehensions i may have and to ensure the dives were as safe and fun as they could possibly be. If you come to Gili T, make sure you use Manta Dive.

We did 3 dives with manta dive and had an amazing day.
The communication beforehand and on the day itself was very nice. All the equipment got prepared for us and the divemaster (Ozi) was a wonderful guy!
Would definitely recommend booking some dives with them. Had we stayed longer we would certainly have booked another dive-day!

Beautiful property in a perfect location. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was a great stay and will definitely return for longer to enjoy some diving. Food and service were brilliant. Highly recommend to all. The room and amenities were fantastic and comfortable stay. Thanks Manta team :)

I spent 4 days with manta dive getting my open water and then deep dive certifications
The views were absolutely incredible. Coming from a family of divers we all agreed they were beautiful dive sites and 1000% worth it!!!
The staff there are all round amazing and lovely and the experience was the best I have had with a dive centre.
Specifically I was with instructors Lisa and Yohan and Dive Master Ari.
Lisa’s patience in the pool session was incredible and left me feeling 100% safe and comfortable, on top of that she was incredibly informative meaning I fully understood everything she was asking. On top of that her cheerful personality made the experience incredibly enjoyable and I looked forward to seeing her the rest of the days there.
Yohan made all of us in the group, who ranged massively in fear levels, feel so unbelievably comfortable we had a blast. Having been to 4 dive centres before I can confidently say I have never felt more comfortable underwater and to ask questions. His patience was unmatched and we all agreed we felt like he actually wanted us to have fun and learn rather than just rushing so he could say we had done it all. I cannot thank him enough.
Ari was an incredible buddy for me on 4/6 of my dives. He is a natural at the role and I felt nothing but safe underwater with him.

Took my advanced cert and my boyfriend did his open water. Great experience with Manta. Felt totally safe the entire time. Manta like all great dive schools have the ability to make you feel part of their every extending worldwide family. The people are what really makes the environment so fantastic.
Dive sites are awesome, lots of cool marine life to see. Kit is in great condition and the facilities at the school have everything you need including a great bar and restaurant where the food is really good.
You’ll be properly educated on safe, fun diving with world class instructors and you’ll know you’re safe in the hands of ocean explorers that will do everything in their power to support and protect the beautiful marine life.
Thank you to Gede and Simon for being the best instructors we could ask for. Simon introduced my boyfriend to the wonders of diving in the best way we could have asked for and Gede helped me get my skills to the next level whilst we had SO much fun. Great 2 dives we had Ayat who was amazing with us, let us take our gopro and then took footage of me and my sister together with turtles and lots of other fish!!!!

Hi, I've booked a trip to Bali early next year and want to learn how to dive. I follow Jenni on instragram and I've seen her photos of the diving on Gili Air. Is it possible to book an introductory dive course and have a photo session with Jenni too?

How to get to Gili T by ferry ? Where should I stay upon arrival in order to catch the ferry timing ?

Hi Joanne,
It is very easy to get to Gili T by ferry depending on where in Bali you're staying. Check whether you're close to South Bali for Serangan/Sanur departures, if you're in the Ubud area I would suggest a Padang Bai Departure and if you're staying around Amed there are ferries from there too. I booked mine through a website called Gilibookings, maybe that'll help! They have free pick-ups from certain areas too, might be worth checking out.

Iv had a look through the website but unable to find what I am looking for.
My partner and I are holidaying in Bali June this year and plan on doing an overnight stay on Gili Trawangan.
Do Manta Dive offer a non license holder dive for people new to diving? We are hoping to do our discover scuba in the UK prior to our holiday just to get a feel for the equipment but we would like to do a try dive whilst on Gili Trawangan. We are strong swimmers.

Hi Niti, you need to be able to swim at least for 5 min if you want to try scuba diving and 10min if you want to graduate as an Open Water Diver. I hope this helps. Please, let us know if we can help you with anything else.

Thank you for your kind question. You don't need to be certified as a diver in order to start scuba diving with us. If you don't have a certificate already, you can choose in between few options where you can only try scuba diving or take the full course of Open Water Diver which gives you a certificate to dive anywhere in the world. I’ve heard great things about Manta Dive but am not a diver. Is it okay to stay at MD but not take a diving course?

Yes you can, I have heard they are great rooms and the the pool area I saw was lovely with so great chill out spots. I have not actually stayed here so can't comment on accommodation really but I still recommend heading round the back streets and finding a little Homestay if you are on a budget, most places on the main front strip are quite pricey.

My husband and I are planning to come and will be staying at the Desa Dunia. As we have never snokeled or dived before, will you asvise what courses we can take and how much we are looking at?

Hi I believe they offer snorkelling but also and introduction dive where you do safety and then a dive to twelve metres. The open water course I believe is three days on completion is a world accreditation that allows you to dive 18m. If you email they will answer you and give costs as I'm not sure. They are telly good enjoy your time on Gili

Hi!
I am planning to go to Gili in the late 2017 or early 2018 to dive. (I have PADI AOW.)
As I am going to Bali with my mother (who is not licensed and cannot dive due to health condition), is there way she can join on the boat and snorkel?
If so, how much would it be?
I am also interested in getting Bangalow package for 2(my and my mom).
Please advise. 🙋🏻

I was in the same position when I arrived at MANTA Dive (but did my open water there) my partner was itching to get out diving so the first day I went out with the dive boat and went snorkelling at no cost. I think this is available as long as boat not too full and you are tagging long with someone who is diving. You just have to wait till the divers get away, then the captain and his crew, keep an eye on you while in the water!
