‪Great WWII exhibits‬

‪This location was right on the battlefield and they have film to show it. Great variety of arms and displays which originated from the local fighters. Great storys from the guide. You can feel it as you walk through the old stone museum. An amazing collection. Well worth the visit.‬

‪Fanstastic Place for REAL WWII History‬

‪My great uncle served with the 83rd Infantry Division in World War II and was killed in action in the Bois de la Ronce while scouting his company's attack from Langlire toward Honvelez. On a trip to the Low Countries I decided to spend a day to see the area, driving down from Liege (an easy trip). I reached out to "JF" who runs the museum and he was gracious enough to open it for me on a weekday evening.

I can't say enough positive things about both "JF" and the collection he's amassed! Any student of World War II history could spend hours in this museum. It's not a sterile and highly-curated environment, but rather a very intimate and authentic setting, from the building itself (an old farmhouse that was damaged in the battle) to its voluminous collection. And beyond viewing the fantastic artifacts it was a great experience to meet and converse with "JF", who is very personable and spoke better English than anyone else I met in Belgium. Nowhere will you find a curator with such knowledge!

Most peole who think of the Battle of the Bulge think of Bastogne. I swung through Bastogne and found it crowded and touristy. If you are truly interested in WWII history I recommend making the trip to Joubieval and spending your time with "JF" at his museum instead.‬

‪Fantastisch museum!‬

‪Prachtige collectie van lokale vondsten uit de omgeving. Daarnaast ook veel uniformen etc. Collectie wordt met zorg gepresenteerd. Duidelijke uitleg in meerdere talen. Absolute must voor geïnteresseerden in het Ardennenoffensief.‬

‪Extraordinary collection of WWII relics; things here rarely seen elsewhere‬

‪Easily spend an enjoyable two hours wandering around the collection. It is a family-run museum, so is not especially tidy or professional, but that makes it more fun. They have more material than room to display it, so things get a bit cluttered in places. People were friendly then left us alone to wander, and cost was very reasonable. Photos allowed.‬

‪Vandaag een bezoek gebracht aan dit museum .
Het bleek gesloten te zijn ( het was buiten het seizoen) , maar de uitbater maakte speciaal voor ons het museum open , waar maak Judit nog mee?
Indrukwekkend museum met heeeeel veel attributen ... de oorlog komt zo echt heel dicht bij ..... een aanrader , zeker weten‬

‪Der junge Betreiber hat hier allerlei zusammengetragen, was er selbst gefunden bzw. ausgegraben hat und nun relativ ungeordnet ausstellt. Eine Infomappe in verschiedenen Sprachen, Deutsch soll bald folgen, gibt einen groben Überblick über die Schaukästen.

Aber weil es eben so anders, das Gebäude urig und viele Sachen teilweise fast im gereinigten Fundzustand belassen wurden, lohnt sich der Besuch in diesem kleinen Dorf.‬
