Beautiful but packed with people. Bring water shoes or booties because hard to walk on the rocks. The water was comfortably warm.

This paradise is better on the low tide. You can go 2 hours before the low tide to avoid the crowds.
The drive on moto from General Luna takes more than 1h. It was quite tiring, but the views were amazing. Avoid coming back at dark.
Please make sure to take all your trash back. Of possible, take a few extra trash from the unpolished persons. You will feel very good doing that.

It was one of the best attractions of siargao. I wasn’t able to come here in my past visit to the island but i got to come here on my second visit. I was really happy to have too! The pools are breathtaking and I haven’t been to such a nice rock pool and so clear too. There are a lot of watchers here so you wont need to worry about things happening. But I would say, just make sure to take your bathroom break before coming here as it is quite far.
I would visit this place again but next time by car, i think it took us almost an hour by the tricycle or maybe 2 hours. I would suggest just renting a car and coming here by car.

I've visited this place several times; on most it's low tide and summer. You'll only experience the full beauty of Magpupungko Beach and Rock Pools if it's low tide.
When you visit on rainy season you can only enjoy the beach, which is as common as any other beaches in PH, unless you're strong swimmer and would risk your life to experience the rock pools even with strong water current and waves - which I did, and it's still isn't as nice as when you actually get to chill in the rock pool without worrying for your dear life.

Eating of Saang. Love the experience of grill Saang in the charcoal. And broke it with hammer. Hopefully, they will use the rubber mallet.

Must see in Siargao but only during low tide and it closes for two months and during high tides. Check before going or go towards mid March.

Es ist verboten, eigenes Essen und Getränke mitzubringen, selbst wenn die Selbstversorgung weit weg von den Restaurant-Bruchbuden verzehrt wird. Eigene Taucherbrille ist auch verboten - dafür kann man eine mieten, wo schon 1000 Leute reingerotzt haben.
Alles in Allem: Völlig überteuert! An der ersten Pforte bezahlt man 50 PHP, an der zweiten ebenfalls 50 PHP plus 20 PHP für das Abstellen des Mopeds.
Dafür ist der Platz sehr(!) sauber gehalten, es gibt keine Plastiktüten oder Scherben im Sand oder den Korallen.
Der Platz ist sauber und es wird von Spionen peinlichst darauf geachtet, dass dort (selbst unter freiem Himmel in/an den Pools nicht geraucht wird. (Mich juckt's nicht mehr,da ich mit diesem Laster aufgehört habe) Ich sehe den Sinn dieses Verbots nicht ein - reine Gängelei!)
Tipp:
Bringt euch eure Speisen und Getränke in Rucksäcken mit, guckt euch die Touris an, die im ersten Becken zuhauf herumplanschen und geht zwei Buchten weiter - der Aufwand wird mir einem menschenleeren weißen Sandstran belohnt!

This was the first stop during our two days' Siargao tour. Nice, big waves and great view, as well as a rock-laden turquoise "swimming pool" on the side.

Hi Dear, Magpupungko is not the best place for snorkeling. I recommend Pagbasayan Beach or Kangkangon Beach at San Benito, Surigao del Norte. This is perfect beach for such activity. Thanks.

I apologize for not answering sooner I will do my best to log in more since apparently I am one of the top reviewers now of the Philippines. It is just 50 pesos to get in the area, but you are going to pay a tricycle 700 pesos per person just to get there from General Luna. A package trip in a van will be even more.

Two or three I think. However, it's about 8 to 9 kilometers away away from Magpupungko Beach. During our trip there, I have not seen any establishments within a 4 kilometer radius.
I hope this helps.
