I recently contacted Stephen , the owner , who informed me that they are no longer in operation.
He is moving to Australia to do Snorkel Safaris there.
He was very helpful and gave me advice on where to go with my young grandchildren for a safe snorkel.

Just returned from a wonderful safari on a dull day on Barra. What a treat! Stephen is a great guide and patiently took two complete novices on a magical experience. Didn't matter about the weather at all. The world under the surface of the sea was fantastic. The colour of the rocks, kelp, fish and other sea creatures so close to the shore was unbelievable. A trip of a lifetime and highly recommended to all.

We had snorkelled before in warmer waters so were unsure what to expect in the Atlantic! Fantastic time had by all of us (even the 15 year old!). Steven made us all feel confident from the start and stayed with our younger son in the water so we could snorkel without worrying about how he was managing. We snorkelled off the causeway at Vatersay - beautiful surroundings and plenty to see in the water .The drysuits provided really did keep us all very warm and completely dry (even with our own clothes on underneath!) Well organised company and very happy with our time spent with Steven - good value activity for all the family. Thank you Steven .

Family of 5 with almost no experience. Stephen was fantastic, with the experience of being a commercial diver and the personality to enthuse even my teenage son. Enjoyed the experience greatly and will now consider trying it again on holidays having got confident and moderately proficient on Barra

A big thank you to Stephen for his great tuition and a fun morning snorkeling along the East side of Vatersay Causeway. We felt safe and reassured even though we had never done this before and there was plenty of time to get used to the equipment before entering the water to build our confidence. We were able to see sea urchins, starfish, crabs, sea anemones, plenty of fish including a some bigger fish, jelly fish and the magnificent underwater jungle of sea weed :). Wearing dry suits not only kept us dry, apart from our faces and hair but allowed us to float in the water quietly. This allowed the fish to swim right up to us! We also had a real laugh afterwards jumping into the Atlantic!. Thanks again, Stephen, This activity is definitely recommended for a fun time with a safe and knowledgeable diver.

We took two kids, 7 and 10. Steve and Sam really went out of their way to make sure that everyone had a great time, with Sam taking care of the youngest while everyone else was off doing something else. When we came back, he was so excited to show us all the things he saw and learned. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see a different view of Barra.

The shore snorkling is well worth the money. You can see amazingly much right under the pier. The people running this service are very friendly and professionals. The boat session was a slight disappointment because someone scared the seals away. But this happens. I'd definitely recommend!

We booked the shore session to learn a little bit first then the trip out in the RIB to swim with seals. Looking down to see a big pair of sealy eyes looking up at me from a few metres away is something I'll never forget. Great to try driving the boat too. Stephen is a fantastic tutor.

This was the 1st time I have ever done something so exciting .I was a bit nervous but Stephen put me at ease and off we went into the unknown it was just super and I felt very safe and got over the strange feeling of not sinking due to the super suit.If you come to Barra give it a wee go you won't be disappointed.

First time in Barra, and this was probably one of the best things I did! Stephen and Simon were so patient and lovely. I am so glad to have done the Snorkeling and would highly recommend it to any age and at any time. You stay warm and comfortable all the time. Also, I got the chance to see some amazing sea life, including a seal. The memory will remain with me forever. I will definitely come back to Barra again and do the snorkeling. Once again thank you for everything!
