2nd time here and we totally love the place and the beach. watching sunrise with our old folks and the kids. the waters is not deep and the wave is not too strong.

Friendly beach and good for the children , its a quiet and peaceful beach community in Alaminos City, Pangasinan.

It was a nice and calm beach perfect for swimming with kids. The waves are big somewhere in the middle for adventurous teens. If you've been to numerous beach, you'll find Bolo Beach an ordinary one. It doesn't have white sand nor pristine water. Different parts have different cottage owners. We do not have any reservation but luckily we got one big cottage for 20 persons for only 1,000 pesos.
You should bring your own food since only sari sari stores are available where we have stayed. 1.5L softdrinks cost 80 pesos each. Water costs 250 pesos if you do not have the blue container. We brought our own food and water.
I enjoyed this beach not because of its view or ambience but because there is a kayak for rent. The cost of rent is only 250 pesos per hour. The waves are big in the middle of the beach that can topple the kayak which makes it enjoyable. Life vest is included in the rent. However, no one will accompany you. You are on your own.
For parents, keep an eye on your children as I haven't seen any lifeguard.
For a cheap price, we enjoyed this beach getaway.

We were staying in Alaminos City from GCQ to MGCQ & with all beaches closed since mid-March, we were excited when they gradually reopened in August. Feedback from locals was that Bolo Beach was crowded and dirty, but it's been so long since we've seen the shores so we didn't care. So I was surprised by the quiet, peaceful, clean beach, with the waters a light blue hue. There are a lot of cottages, cheapest price was 500 for the whole day, and could accomodate only 6 people due to social distancing (good thing there were only 5 of us in the family). Overnight stay wasn't allowed yet. There were supposedly small bars and food shops but due to the MGCQ only beer (pricey vs the grocery price), shakes, siomai, lumpia were sold. There were also sari-sari stores if you prefer sodas and junkfood. The water was crystal clear, warm, no huge waves, perfect even for children to wade and swim in. The resort we went to has a slide, swing & a children's zip line available. The only downside is that there are private huts and houses nearby and the beach is a regular hangout for the local kids and dogs. This didn't bother us -- they were well-behaved and weren't noisy; they were just enjoying the beach too. Since there seemed to be just us and one or two other couples, parking was ample. I'm guessing on non-pandemic days, however, the beach could really get crowded and finding a parking spot could be hard. There are paid restrooms, and if you get a cottage, they're free to use.

Beautiful beach for fun and wonderful road to ride (on touring bikes though :))

The area could be nice if looked after properly. 100 islands are worth a visit but unfortunately within a year the coral that was there is no longer. Nothing is being presurved which is sad. The road from Alaminos town to Bolo is terrible. If you have a car forget it. Unless you have a 4x4 with off road tyres you will struggle. The edges of the road are completly broken in places with large wide and deep cracks in the concrete. We witnessed a motorcycle accident due tobthe poor road. AVOID. The beaches are also not clean. Both Bolo and the neigbouring beach of Victoria have floating rubbish at the seashore. Saw numerous locals just dropping litter with no care. Plastic pollution in our seas...I think we discovered the culprits..not impressed. The town is well served by roads and looks clean if younstick to the road to Lucap which isnthe main tourist route but if you head out onto side roads you see rubbish everywhere..very dissapointing. Locals have no respect for their what could be paradse environment. Maybe local government need to look after the area and roads better. 100 islands are nice but personally inwoukd head to Palawan on a short flight. Cleaner and better beaches.

Driver Anthony Acuna (anthonyacuna027@gmail.com or by text anthonyacuna637@yahoo.com) picked us up in an 8-passenger van at Manila airport and drove to Bolo Hills Beach Club. Great seafood meal was prearranged. Went on boat tour of Hundred Islands National Park a short ride away. Breathtaking scenery. Anthony then took us to Vigan City. Was with us for 5 days in Luzon.

This is remote Philippines, on the boundary of the 100 Islands Sanctuary. This is definitely not a tourist trap. The people are real, life is so chilled, and our hostess Nivea’s is a darling

Tons of jelly fish! Locals are jelly fish fishing in the morning but too late my daughter was already stung by them. If we know first we are not swimming into the beach! No warning sign posted for jellyfish!

If you are not a picky Traveler, &just have enough budget for a place to stay , go on tours and enjoy the scenery . I will definity recommend Mountain Ridges resort .Spent a couple of days calling and inquiring where we can stay at a very short notice, saw Manang Mely's Mountain Ridges resort online, with a very good review. Called Manang Mely and she had been very accomodating, we arrived very late due to the traffic that day. But she kept our room and prepared everything for us for the next day tour. Without us knowing that she had already spoke to the boat men and had everything set up for us. Thank you Manang Mely for being accomodating.She treated us like a family, and because we planned the trip late syempre maraming nakalimutan. But Manang Mely tried to provide it for us. Thank you we will surely be back.

Hello there, especially to Ellen who posted regarding Bolo beach. I would like to ask whether you stayed there for a night or two and in what resort/inn? I have been trying to look for some contact number or resorts/inn in Bolo beach for a night stay this coming weekend. Can anyone recommend? Please. Thanks.
