This was our second time cooking at the school, and it didn't fail us. The food and company were outstanding. Thai Curries were delicious and easy to follow. Highly recommend

Myself and my wife have been looking forward to this experience for a long time and we were not disappointed.
Kelly was our instructing chef - he was amazing! As a presenter he was engaging, informative and entertaining and made sure everyone got involved. He was also an excellent teacher - we learnt heaps!
The preparation and cooking was great fun and gave a real insight into how much goes into putting together a restaurant menu.
The end product was delicious and it was satisfying knowing we'd all contributed to an amazing spread.
We did the "Restaurant Classics" class which included Lemongrass & Coconut Soup with Tea Smoked Salmon and Mushrooms, Caramelised Pork Belly with Green Mango salad and Nahm Jim Dressing, Red Curry Duck with Lychee & Thai Badil (red curry paste also made from scratch) and Whole Crispy Fish with Three Flavoured Tamarind Sauce. All dishes were amazing, and it was great to be able to enjoy some lovely wines and talk about our day.
The restaurant and school are set in a beautiful and secluded garden location.
A truly special experience and one I cannot recommend highly enough. We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful day, exceeded our expectations! Kelly is a wonderful chef and teacher. Entertaining, informative and interesting!
Food was divine, great to get involved in the process but also learn those little tricks and tips that make such a difference in the kitchen at home! Can’t wait to practice my new skills.
Great company also with the other participants in a stunning environment.
Would definitely come again and highly recommend to anyone who is unsure.

Fabulous experience, cooking some of our favourite dishes. Kelly makes the entire experience tremendous fun. Today we cooked delicious duck, leder prawns and an amazing scallop coconut salad.

We did the Christmas class, fantastic day. Kelly was our chef with lots of knowledge to share. The food was superb my favorite was the salmon with coconut rice. The rice broccolini and sweet potato salad was very different with pomegranate and pomegranate molasses dressing. Loved it also. The butterflied prawns had a fantastic dressing and topped with a very tasty salad. All in all a fabulous experience and I will be back next year. Thank you for a fun day of learning.

A group of us (8) friends did a cooking class with Simon on a Saturday night. What a fantastic way to spend 4 1/2 hours. Learning how to prepare ( 80% prep 20% cooking) and cook Thai food with good friends under the tutelage of Simon the Masterchef. Simon explained and showed us how to do everything in a way that even the non cooking inclined individuals among us could understand. The food , and the drinks were excellent when we sat down to enjoy the fruits of our labor. Would highly recommend this activity

This was something I’d been wanting to do for years. I was not disappointed at all! I did “Fast Fabulous Thai” and have cooked the dishes again since (they were good too). Chef Simon was great, with good humour and lots of little tips. The other participants were friendly so I was comfortable even though on my own.
One negative side effect was I’ve learnt to peel green prawns in an efficient way so it’s now my job 😁!
My family gave me the class as a gift, I can highly recommend doing that for a budding cook you know, I loved it!

Damien was our chef and he was absolutely fantastic; he managed our group so well, ensuring everyone was equally and gainfully involved. This exceeded our expectations, as we had read that other classes didn't get much hands on involvement. Well paced, well explained, gorgeous food and good quality wines served with the delicious meals we created. A great fun evening which was also great value for money. Highly recommend.

My husband and I did the ‘one bowl wonder’ class when on our honeymoon. It was our favourite experience of our whole trip! The chef that led us was extremely kind, funny, professional, passionate and made us feel enthusiastic about everything we were cooking. We learnt lots of helpful cooking skills in the class. The food we made together and ate was honestly the best meals I had ever eaten and there was plenty to go around! We were offered tea, coffee, wine and beer during breaks which made the experience that much more special. There was about 12 people in the class, they were great, and made the whole day that much more fun. We all had a great time cooking, eating and laughing together. The apron and goodies to take home were the icing on the cake for the best value day out. Thank you to everyone at spirit house, we cant wait to come back!

Chef Simon showed us how to cook smoked salmon soup, whole fish in a wok and many other treats before we sat down to eat our 3 course dinner.
This was a great experience and the flavours have to be experienced to be believed would recommend this to anyone interested in cooking and eating fine Asian cuisine.

I had the same issue trying to book in January for March/April. I called and spoke with the cooking school and they were able to accommodate my group by changing one of the empty classes to the class I wanted to do. They were super helpful and the class we attended today was absolutely fantastic!
