In the shallows near Bubble Beach is a fumarole, a vent which releases hot sulphurous gases from a volcano below, creating a natural hot volcanic bubbling spa. A pool has been created, where my friends went for a swim. The facilities on the beach were destroyed by Hurricane Maria in 2017, but the owner has built very basic new facilities. My friends enjoyed swimming in the warm bubbles, and I enjoyed resting on the beach.

We enjoyed having a little soak in this quirky quiet little spot in Soufriere, with a view of the beautiful 18th century church and the jagged volcanic peaks behind it. You can get a drink, rent a beach chair to sunbathe for $5 EC, and experience the warm sands that heat up the water of the "spa" - which are actually too hot to touch once you step out of the water! There is not a set fee but rather a donation box. It seems that both local people and tourists come here, which is nice. We actually got much more of a kick out of going here than we did going to Champagne Beach.

No pretension - a rough bar but with superb drinks and bar food. Incredibly good rum punches - try the passionfruit and the coconut.

Great place right on the beach to enjoy a drink and the sunset. The lime rum punch is good. You also can soak in the warm, bubbling water.

We heard about this sight from several travelers on Dominica. The beach in Soufriere has a small section of water that is enclosed by rocks and sandbags. This is special because the small area is directly over a volcanic vent that heats up the sand. When the tide is out the sand is too hot to stand on. With the tide covering the sand, you can immerse yourself in hot water and relax. For the less adventurous, there's also a cooler side that stays warm. You are expected to make a small donation to help cover the cost of maintaining the site.
It's an easy local bus ride from the Old Market in Roseau to Soufriere. This bus also stops at Champagne Reef. Get off when the the bus enters Soufriere and turns to go along the front towards Scott's Head. If you get Donkey's bus, hang on!!

An interesting phenomena, a natural hot spring under the sea. Wiggle and bury your toes into the sand under the cool waters and you can feel the heat getting more intense the deeper you go. There is an enclosed section of beach where the hot waters are contained and the cooler sea water moderates the temperature. The first step, close to shore is almost scalding - step lively! On a very hot, sunny afternoon we watched people soaking in the "hotter-than- bath" water. There is a small "shack" affording some shade, seating and cold beverages.

A nice place to sit in the evening and watch a beautiful sunset. YOu can do this while sipping on an awesome coconut punch and soaking in the natural “hot tomb”.

On sundays the owner cooks up a righteous midday meal - chicken, rice, phenomenal Mac n cheese, salad, etc and serves it right on the beach. When it runs out, it’s gone so get there by 2-ish. The rum punch (limit yourself to two!) is great and soaking in hot water bubbling up from ocean floor in rocked off ‘tubs’ completes the scene it’s a public beach so no entry fee but make sure to hit up donation box!

When my friends and I went there earlier this year!we all felt like we were on a vacation ! The atmosphere is so welcoming with music in the background as you soak in either hot of cold bubbling water which is in the sea! This is quite the experience guys!

After our 4 hours of kayak and snorkling, Bubble Beach Spa was the most logical spot to recuperate. Great place to take some sun or shade, and two baths with warm and hot water. This was surprisingly comfortable despite the hot weather! Of course there is the regular bay to swim, great Rum Punch and the sunset makes for some great pictures.
