Harsh and his company have gone above and beyond in providing one-of-a-kind, trekking, hiking, and camping experiences. If I had more time, I would have stayed in their campsite which is serene and surrounded by trees and in the mountains!
The first day that I arrived in Mt. Abu, I was in a bind and did not have a place to stay but Harsh immediately came to pick me up and made sure I had options, including a homestay or tent depending on my comfort.
Why I chose Hiking & Trekking Company Mount Abu:
Safety: it is against the law actually to hike or trek alone in Mt Abu given the dangerous wildlife, so you need a certified tour guide, which their company provides. Everyone is certified, between 12-30 years experience, and Mt Abu locals. They also know how to warn wildlife before entering certain caves or places we are visiting. They know what to do if anything happens. They have two tour guides at a time.
Extensive knowledge: They have extensive background knowledge and expertise of everything along the way of the hike, they are like walking Encyclopedias. They know the history, benefits, and uses of the geography and plants.
Charity: 20%-30% of their profits earned are channeled into a school for children of Adivasi/tribal background as there is a shortage of school resources.
Treatment like family: He, his whole team, treated me like family, took me to the most local spots for chai and even invited me to their homes for homemade Rajasthani traditional cuisine. Harsh and Narayan took me and/or explained the significance of the historical and spiritual places of worship, including Delwara Temple and another hidden temple on a high cliff that even locals are not aware of. I love hiking and feel special in nature but I also love to learn about the ancient technological intelligence of my ancestors.
Thank you Harsh, Narayan, and Hiking & Trekking Company Mount Abu for making my memorable Mt Abu experience one of the highlights so far in India! I definitely will be back to hike the other 27 spots and absorb more of your knowledge!

Trekking was one of its kind! With lot of motivation and professional assistance from hiking and trekking company we had best experience ever. For out of the box experience I highly recommend the company.

Our hike with Harsh was great - he made our experience very pleasant, sharing interesting facts about the local area and the flora. We enjoyed beautiful views overlooking the mountains and the lake. He also guided us through our first experience of « splanking », which was really fun and definitely would not have done without him!

Amazing trekking experience, really highlights whats unique about Mount Abu and Indian flora and fauna. The guides are great Sherpas throughout. Beautiful igneous rock caves alongwith beautiful sights to fill your eyes, couldn't ask for more.❤️

Myself and a friend decided to do a tour with Harsh and Anil after they were recommended to us by other travellers and they did not disappoint!
The day included hiking to viewpoints, going into caves where bears have been , having chai, seeing temples and riding through the mountains on the scooter to the highest peak in Rajasthan. It was an amazing and unforgettable day. They looked after us and ensured we had a good time!
I would highly recommend this tour with Harsh!

Hiking with Harsh and Anil was the best experience we've had in India. They are super nice and friendly guys who provide interesting informations about flora/fauna/nature and profound facts and stories. We'd totally recommend booking a hiking tour with Hiking & Trekking Company to escape busy cities. Overall it felt like spending a lovely day with friends. We saw stunning caves and breathtaking views in and around Mount Abu. It was the perfect mix between exercises and enjoyable breaks in the nature. Both guides were very pleasant people.
PS: We were introduced to the best masala tea and pakora places :)

We had a fantastic guided trek about two weeks ago. Mount Abu is such a lovely area it's really a must-do to get out and see the nature, but to do so, you really have to go with a guide. And there are no better guides than these guys! They had a high level of knowledge of the local plants and animals, took us for a nice lunch at a secluded Ashram, and we were lucky enough to spot a sloth bear silhouetted against the setting sun! Outstanding :).
Speak to Harsh over Whatsapp and he'll be glad to meet you at your hotel or a restaurant and talk through the details. Don't miss out!

As an avid birder one of my main objectives of visiting Mt Abu was to get an opportunity to sight/ photograph the Green Avadavat - a stunningly colored bird that for reasons including habitat loss is best seen in this part of India. My friend Pushpendra in Jawai recommended that I get in touch with Narayan Bhai - who runs the Hiking & Trekking Company at Mt Abu. Narayan Bhai assured me that my wish shall be fulfilled and agreed to support my trip from the station pick-up to the accommodation and the airport drop at Ahmedabad for my return journey to Mumbai. The accommodation (at Forest Eco Lodge) was excellent - located away from the busy Mt Abu town, and the guide provided (Anil Rana) was a local expert. Within the first session I had my prized "lifer" (the Green Avadavat). The second session improved on the first one with more species also sighted. To whet my appetite for adventure, the third outing was a caving trip (covering 2 caves) and ending with a glorious view of the sunset. The entire trip went off extremely smoothly. I would recommend anyone desirous of visiting Mt Abu to get in touch with Narayan Bhai at Hiking & Trekking Co in case they are planning a trip to this unique destination in Rajastan.

Hi Komal, best to get the answer from the guy at Mt Abu, Narain M Dana is his FB. He's a great guy and will tailor the Mt Abu experience to your wants and budget. You should find him on FB and tell him Hi from Simon & Maggie in NZ! He's with Hiking and Trekking Mt Abu.

Hi all.. It was so fascinating to look at the travelling experience that has been shared above.. We are a friends group of 4 people from Tamil Nadu, planning to go to Mount Abu in November mid. (for about 4 days). We are just point blank about where to stay and what to do. Pls guide us through the travel and things to do at Mount Abu (interested in trekking hiking and widlife) (If specific inputs are provided it would be helpful, like cost, place to stay, food n all) Thanks in advance.

To add on Mt Abu can be done in a day or 1.5 day after that u can visit Udaipur/ Jaipur as both are equally distanced depending on ur interest u ppl can choose.

As monsoon is about to get over and start of winter, weather will be pleasant it's good time to trek.

No advance bookings required for bikes. There will be plenty of rental shops nearby Bus stand and Lake area. You can easily get an avenger or Honda Activa there. Cost will be around 250 for scooty and 500-800 for bikes like avenger, Pulser, apache etc.

can we go in monsoon season or will the rocks and road be slippery?

Sure you can visit it in monsoon season as there will not be too much mud after rains. But still I'll suggest to take good quality mountaineering shoes with you as the steep rocks looses its grip in rains. Overall You must go, the place will be more beautiful in monsoons.
