Lovely house and grounds. Interesting to see how the 0.01% lived in the 30s. Pretty lake views too. Not much else to say just running out the character minimum.

A great look into the Ford family and their day to day lives. The grounds are large, and perfect for walking. This is a great place for couples to come. It is beautiful and very romantic.

Taking the tour is really cool. They have two different ones. We did the regular one, I want to go back and do the behind the scenes one. For as old as that house is it is beautiful and way ahead of its ti.e!!

Interesting and very clean. The staff was very helpful. Definitely was must see place to tale a group. take a family . Summer is the best time to go.

We just moved to the area and visited here for the first time. We joined as members and took my in-laws. The setting is lovely and the visitor center is very nice and accommodating with restaurant, restrooms, gift shop as well as ticket counter service which was extremely helpful. We didn't do a guided tour, just wandered on our own and can't wait to go back. The docents at the mansion were super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. It was raining so we weren't able to see the entire gardens and grounds, but as members we will definitely be back.

Learned a lot about Henry Ford's son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Grounds are expansive. Everything is self-paced. There's a visitor center with background on the Ford family and some vintage cars at the start. The actual house has 25 rooms to see; allow an hour. The grounds include tennis courts, a lagoon, a rose garden, and a playhouse designed for the size of a 9-year-old. There's even a path around a small peninsula on the lake.

Beautiful home and grounds, well worth a visit if you're in the area. We did a guided tour (very interesting) and wandered around by ourselves after.

Free parking upon arrival through the gate house. VC is the start for purchasing tickets, food, and a small museum. The property is large, and one can purchase $5 tickets just for the grounds or the $10 ticket to include the self-guided house tour. Of the 60 rooms guests get to see a good portion, set in the Ford's era with their artifacts.

Incredible experience included as part of our bus trip. The estate is beautifully maintained and full of history. Guides were very knowledgeable and thorough. The gardens and grounds hold many exciting discoveries too.

The Edsel and Eleanor Ford Estate is a must see in the Detroit area. The home and grounds are magnificent to see and the tour guides are fun and knowledgeable. What a great way to see how they lived at that time and we are so fortunate that it has been kept so well for us to enjoy. The home is beautiful as are the grounds. So much to see. If you are really into it, book the "behind the scenes tours" which are well worth seeing.

We had a bad experience up there a couple of years ago at a chain hotel. On our trip to Edsel Ford's, we stayed at the Dearborn Inn. It cost a little more, but it was worth it for a place you could trust and was top notch. It's a 20 minute drive to Edsel & Eleanor's, but it wasn't bad.

We took the "Behind the Scenes Tour" as well as the regular tour and really enjoyed it. If you are fascinated by the workings of a home and the people who kept it running, you would enjoy BTS. If you want that tour, you will have to purchase tickets in advance online. Click on Events to see the tours available. You can purchase tickets at the visitor center for the regular tours.
