The view will be incredible if Mt. Fuji is in view on a clear day. Unfortunately, when we visited, Mt. Fuji was cloud covered, but the view is still beautiful.
The walk up to the observation deck took about 10-15 minutes, and it was not terribly difficult. First we arrived at the site of the pagoda, and a further 5-minute walk would get you to the observation deck.
I took another route to go back down, and walked through a torii gate and the scenery was beautiful even in the summer.

It's definitely an Instagram-worthy spot. There are a lot of foreign tourists. It's a bit tiring to walk to the photo spot, but the view makes you forget your tiredness.

The main draw to the shrine is the Chureito Pagoda & the views of Mount Fuji. However, the park has numerous trails to follow, which are less crowded than the main climb up. Most areas are fairly steep & have steps to negotiate.
The shrine is lovely, with ornate carvings & dragon water fountains & lanterns surrounding

You walk up 400 steps to see the temple and get the money shot of Mount Fuji. The hike up isn’t too bad. We stopped once to catch our breath.
The view depends on cloud conditions. Mount Fuji was covered with clouds at the top but it was still worthwhile.
They also have bathrooms and some kiosks en route. Worthwhile if you’re in the area.

There are overwhelmingly more foreigners. I think more than 90% are foreigners. As I drove up the narrow road, I got the impression that there were a lot of large cars on the other side. I wondered how much parking would cost, but it was free. Looking at the parked cars, there were many large cars, and the driver was still there, so I guess there were a lot of large cars for pick-up and drop-off. Some of the drivers were speaking Chinese. As I continued climbing from there, I came across a shrine and received a goshuin stamp, but I only got a talisman, so I got one. There were two demons on the building's onigawara, directly in front of me, which were quite realistic and impressive. As I climbed up to the observation deck, Mt. Fuji came into view little by little, and I think it was the best material for taking photos. I can see that it is certainly popular. Unfortunately, I arrived in the afternoon, so the light was backlit. This tower, which was built to resemble the five-story pagoda of Shitennoji Temple in Osaka, was built to commemorate the local war dead from the Meiji era. There are cherry trees planted on both sides of the stairs leading up, so I think it would be the best in spring. For those who want to avoid the stairs, there is a slightly wider path running alongside where camellias are planted here and there and are blooming beautifully. I had never heard of this place before, but I only found out about it after it started appearing in photos often because there are a lot of foreigners there. It's a place that looks like it was told about by a foreigner. If possible, I'd like to come back in spring during the cherry blossom season.

Ok this is the spot you see in so many IG posts. Plan ahead to make sure weather will cooperate (usually mornings) even if it says Sunny skies. If there is even slight wind, the clouds will begin to form mid-day and obstruct the view. It’s crowded so another reason to visit early if possible. 400 steps to the top for that $$ shot, but also have flat winding road if steps are an issue

The view was great, with a clear view of Mt. Fuji. I also received a beautiful goshuin. However, the shrine maiden was a student, so she was talking loudly about her one-room apartment, which ruined the lovely atmosphere. I think they should improve that.

We passed through the temple grounds to start climbing Mitsutoge Pass. To get to the main hall and the tower from which you can worship Mt. Fuji, you have to climb quite a few stairs.
Nowadays, there are a lot of inbound foreigners here. The temple seal is available from 9:00.
I arrived at 8:40 to climb the mountain. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a temple seal.

像梦一样，这个地方风景很漂亮，人很多。就是交通有些不方便，来的人很多，跟着人流走就可以就可以。我那天去的时候天上飘着小雨，有大雾。所以很遗憾看不见富士山

Is it easy to get a taxi from Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine to Oshino Hakkai? Do we use Uber? Is 7/8 seater available?

Can you drive to the shrine - how close can you get? It looks like there are lots of stairs to get to the viewpoint but are there things to see at base which are accessible by wheelchair?

I'm not sure if it's accessible by wheelchair. It is quite high but a path zig zags along the stairs. It would be very heavy I guess and I'm not sure if it goes all the way up to the shrine. Besides that there is nothing else there the view is often not good because of the clouds. We didn't get to see Mount Fuji from there.

There is a road, not sure if there’s parking though. When we went a few months ago, the road was actually blocked off with a guy directing traffic around.

11月の連休を利用して是非とも行ってみたいと思います。

But, There location are near from kawaguchiko station.
You can go by train from kawaguchiko station to shimoyoshida station in only 15 minute. then walk...walk....and walk.. about 10-15 minute......
