Tec Diving Mauritius opened its doors in 2019. We are a small and cozy company that focuses on quality service rather than quantity. For fun and technical diving, we take a group of maximum 4 divers per dive instructor to ensure a safe and exciting experience! We have the privilege to choose from 60 dive sites. Very bad experience. We were fooled by what they said on their site.
Safety is not their priority at all. They never asked us to show our licenses and they never made us measure the Nitrox. They had 2 guys who weren't qualified dive with Nitrox. They made us dive a wreck without a guide (even though we had paid for the guided dive). Their only concern was that we paid for the dives in advance (even all 40 dives before we even arrived at the diving site!!!). It is not true that they carry your equipment to the boat while you take a pleasant 5 minute walk. You load everything up and walk for at least 15 minutes both on the way there and back. We did ten days of diving (20 dives each) and they always took us to the usual 3/4 places (more than 60 dive sites as they say on the website). We repeatedly asked to do the shark dive which on the site they say they do at least once a week in season (December is supposed to be one of the best months) and Olivier told us for 2 weeks that it wasn't safe due to the weather . On the last day he told us that it could be done if we were willing to pay double what was published on the site. He made us go with a boat equipped for deep sea fishing and absolutely not suitable for diving, without racks for the tanks and the possibility of sitting down to put on/remove the BCD and equipment (the photo speaks for itself). All to the total detriment of safety. Olivier, who on the website says he knows the place very well, didn't even accompany us. As a worthy conclusion we didn't even see a shark!!!! Upon returning Olivier even refused to speak to us.
Look for another dive!!!!!! there are many others in the same area.

Excellent diving center! Diving as a couple for several years in several countries, tec diving is really a center to recommend for dives in Mauritius! We did 4 dives with this club and without regrets! (We would have liked to do more but a foot injury prevented us) New and very well maintained diving equipment! Family center with a small, very practical boat for dives that are tailor-made for you!!! And the icing on the cake, tea, coffee, cake shared between 2 dives! Maximum 4 divers per divemaster. In addition Olivier was waiting for the end of our breakfast at the Toparadis hotel (really close to the club and also recommended!!!) to dive afterwards at our ease! We must also recognize the great honesty he showed in reimbursing us for the dives not completed following my husband's injury. That's it, I never write on TripAdvisor because everyone complains, but precisely, when you are very satisfied, that's when you have to write it! Thanks to Dira, Olivier, Greta the divemaster (if I'm not mistaken ;-)!!!) And to the whole team! Good luck and thank you for these beautiful days shared and your good advice for restaurants!!!

My son and I were looking for a diving center to get our OWD license. There are many options available, and we were having email and whatsapp conversations with many. We decided for Tec Diving based on our conversations and what a great place it is!
Olivier and his team made us feel very comfortable with their teaching approach. Safety plays a huge role in their lessons. We practiced skills first in their pool and then in open water dives. Joé, our instructor, made sure we can do them at any time, also by surprise. Learning how to dive at Tec Diving was a great experience. We had a lot of fun, saw a lot of sea life, we learned a lot of new skills in a very relaxed environment - and we now we have our license to learn more!
Having had such a great experience with the OWD license, we decided to come back a week later - and having done some dives on the East cost with other operators. In our second round we went for Deep diving and Nitrox. Since Joé already knew our skill and comfort levels, he made our experience in the second time even better than in the first round - something we thought was already difficult to top!
The whole team at Tec Diving that we worked with, Olivier, Joé, Loic and Dira deserves an applause! We felt very welcome and very well taken care of. A very friendly and professional team, excellent theory and practical teaching - all the way to gas mixing! When we come back to Mauritius, this would be our first place to go to for the next level!

J ai plongé avec Loïc un des instructeurs et c était génial !!!! Il est super cool calme et hyper professionnel, très bon guide sous l eau il a l oeil pour repérer tout ce qu il y a a voir!
Si vous voulez découvrir de super sites de plongées au nord de l île et plonger en toute sécurité je vous recommande ce club. Le matériel dernier cri est top et on peut plonger au nitrox. Le centre est bien organisé et on peu chiller devant après la plongée.
Toute l équipe est sympa de l acceuil au skipper en passant par les dive masters.
Foncez!!!

As a first time diver, I was a bit hesitant at first. But after spending some time with the staff at Tec Diving Mauritius, I felt like Aquaman! The staff is great and very ethical.
Cheers to my instructor Nuria, with whom I felt like it isn't my first time under water for such a long time, a great diving partner. Kudos to Mitch, Joey and Mandira for being extremely friendly, professional and making sure I had the best diving experience!

Für meinen Aufenthalt auf dieser wunder-schönen Insel Feb./März 2023 hatte ich im Taucher.Net-Forum nach TB-Empfehlungen angefragt und den Tipp bekommen, Olivier anzufragen.
Goldrichtig
Bereits erster Mailaustausch war sehr zugewandt und sympathisch! Dabei ging's mir grad mal um 3 Tage Funtauchgänge ohne Kurse und möglichst Haibegegnung bei Round Island.
Erstes Kennenlernen und Formalitätencheck bei Ankunft ( nettes kleines ***Hotel Ocean Villas/ Grand Baie; ca. 15 Busminuten zur Basis) bestätigten meinen ersten Positiveindruck; sympathisch, fachkompetent und rührig machte Olivier sich an die Planung unter Berücksichtigung unserer Landausflüge.
Dann wirbelte Zyklon Freddy leider alles ziemlich durcheinander, ein Motorschaden am Tauchboot kam hinzu, so dass in der letzten von 3 Wochen nur 2 Tauchtage möglich waren.
Und trotzdem kümmerte Olivier sich rührigst und bescherte mir 2 tolle Tage auf See samt WrackTG, Haispot war leider nicht möglich.
Tauchspot lagen um Coin der Mire ( Gunnars Point).
Aber zu den Fakten:
Xdeep- BPW gab's für mich als Promotion ohne Berechnung (Rest hatte ich dabei),
Buddyteamzusammenstellung nach Fähigkeit war 1A, Nitroxmischung perfekt, Service / Betreuung an Bord klasse ( Wasser und Bananenkuchen zwischen den TGs), Sonnenschutz gewährleistet, keine Zeitreglementierung beim TG außer der No-Deko-Vorgabe.
Es war einfach klasse rundum! Und ich kenne doch zahlreiche Basen weltweit mittlerweile, diese sticht deutlich positiv heraus, was insbesondere natürlich an auch Olivier festzumachen ist.
Zudem sind vom OWD bis CCR-Kursen und Scootern reichlich Kurse möglich.
Anbei ein paar Fotos zum Shop, Tauchvideo dauert noch

Superbe expérience grâce à ce club avec mon fils !
Un grand merci à Joe qui m’a guidée tout le long , il a su nous mettre en confiance , a pris bien soin de nous , je le recommande vivement ! Nous reviendrons c’est certain ! Belle continuation à vous ne changez rien tout est parfait !!!

Great dives with really nice people! Communication was great and I got a spot at the last minute Well organised and nice small boat - great for small groups. Shark safari was a brilliant experience.
