Such a beautiful, private, clean & quiet area. By far my most favorite of visited Provincial Parks in BC visited.

Our first stop on our road trip after leaving Prince George and we were pleasantly surprised to find this lovely park with all facilities, neat and tidy and a picnic table to enjoy the view. We had the park to ourselves seeing it was after Labour day. It's a huge place and too bad we didn't have enough time to do the hike around Bear Lake. I think it would be beautiful!

I reserved a campsite for our rv trailer. The description said up to 32 foot trailer. It was impossible to get trailer into campsite: lane was too narrow to maneuver and 90 degrees to entry of campsite. It might be possible if a short tow vehicle was in use. My truck is very long. When I asked for a refund because campsite was unusable, I was told it was out of the question. What's with that?

Bear Lake is our favorite campground, private sites, lots of room, the trees have grown back. Facility is top notch. Park Rangers are very friendly. Water is warm, no itch nice for swimming and kayaking. Stop in you won't be disappointed. 40 mins to PG if you need supplies.

De camping is mooi gelegen aan het meer.
Goed onderhouden plekken.
Jammer dat er twee douches kapot waren, daardoor moest je erg lang wachten.

Excellent park. Great staff and very clean. We'll maintained . Nice sites. Great day use area for swimming and picnicking. Definitely returning next year

Excellent campsite, beautiful quiet lake and clean facilities. Park managers are very strict with the generator policy, 8-10 am and 6-8 pm. $18 per night. Flush toilets and warm showers. Showers are $1 for 4 minutes. Campsites along the shore all have a small beach area, the double site gives lots of beach access. There is also a santi-dump site within the campground. Easy access and large private campsites.

We have been coming here for over 25 years ever since the kids were toddlers. We have since travelled the world and we now bring our grandkids, as this is still our favorite place to go! We love the lakeside campsites which are large and private, some with their own little beach for launching your canoe. No motor boats allowed so the lake is quiet with lots of nesting water fowl along the shoreline. Unfortunately you now need to reserve online so often the best sites are already occupied. We love the hiking and biking trail which circles the lake. The sunsets are spectacular, and in the fall the ground is littered with wild blueberries!

Even though a lot of the trees in the area have been killed due to the pine beetle this is still a nice place to camp and visit. This park has been a place we have gone to for decades and really enjoy it.
The day use beach area is in our opinion the better of the two that they have, there are less weeds and has loose sand on it. The second beach area by the campground also has a dog beach, however it is irritating how many people think that they can take their pets past the NO DOGS sign and let them do their business on the beaches where kids play.
This is a small man made lake and due to it's size it does have swimmer's itch. We have found that a good coating of (waterproof) sunscreen or good oil can greatly reduce the problems related to this. Also a good rubdown with a towel after leaving the water helps greatly as well. Be aware that there are also leaches in the water, it is rare but occasionally they do attach them selves to you or your children.
Most of the camp sites are still with in the trees, there are some however that have very little protection due to the impact of the pine beetle and the removal of dead trees. If it is very sunny and hot, there is very little reprieve in those campsites.
This camp ground is also one of the few that has good hot showers (they take loonies), so nice after a long hot day of recreating!
Overall, this has always been a great family campground with even the parks staff returning year after year
