I have visited this museum a couple of times now and always find it fascinating. There is so much to see and learn mostly focused on WW11. They are restoring, improving and changing much at each visit. They really need a new premises and more space to display their large collection properly. A must for WW11 aviation enthusiasts with rare aircraft albeit not yet restored but displayed as found in the field of conflict. So much to read and learn with genuine artefacts to display the stories of history.
The volunteers are also very welcoming and will take the time to relate their extensive knowledge of the exhibits and history. Attached to the museum is a separate display of historic aircraft and military radios, fascinating. Good value for money.

The Wings museum has a fantastic collection of aircraft items from the second world war. It has UK, German, Japanese and Russian items and tells the whole story of the brave airmen & women that served in that terrible conflict.
There is even a fuselage from a plane that was uses in the film Band Of Brothers.
A very informative and interesting couple of hours there will amaze you.

What a hidden treasure!! It’s an amazing little place, which clearly has been loving gathered.
I could of stayed hours, reading and looking at all of items.
This place is a must for anyone studying WW2 or if you have an interest in aviation.

Excellent small museum. The staff are very happy to share some memories and information about the planes, they're also eager to run interactive exhibits such as cockpit tours and radio/ morse code demonstrations.

In an unassuming farm barn, in the middle of the rolling Sussex countryside, lies an absolute gem of a place, which filled up my Sunday beautifully. This is a quite staggering collection of 12,000+ artefacts and effects from the Second World War. By chance, I was seeing tge rarest of Pacific War aircraft with a visiting chool party of Japanese students and aeroplane remains from the Asian tundra with a family of Russians, in this museum which encourages a hands on, engaged and wonderfully informative approach. I've sat in cockpits, cocked a Lee Enfield, rung a scramble bell, sat in an Austin 7, heard an air-raid siren, peered through a Spitfire's reflective gunsight, been shown some significant reatorations and so much more.
The volunteers are exactly as they should be - welcoming, helpful, passionate and go above and beyond to make your visit perferct. The potential relocation and upscaling of the museum to new premises is very, very exciting and I look forward to supporting it and all that it stands for, long into the future. The only negative was one of my own-making, that simply being that I had never visited before now. This place is incredible.

Thank you to Daniel and his co-workers for an excellent guided tour of this fascinating museum. Lots of exhibits, but not too many, making the tour of the museum easy on the feet !

a rainy winter Sunday seemed the perfect excuse to visit somewhere we had often passed signs to but never visited and I am very glad we did. very helpful and knowledgeable staff, fascinating exhibits, crashed aircraft might seem a bit morbid but the human story told with each display gives a very real and moving experience of what ww2 was really like to live through. wheelchair access was ok, there is access available via the farm next door to avoid the steep entrance path.

We had often driven past this museum so decided to visit. It was really interesting and the 2 volunteers on duty were really friendly and knowledgeable. There are so many artefacts including from planes that were shot down or crashed and these have come from various countries. There is also a section on the home guard and various life stories of different service men. If you are even a little bit interested in the 2nd world war this is definitely a place you should visit. The only thing I would say is if you visit in the winter wrap up warm as the museum is in an outbuilding and there is no heating so it was a bit cold.

I don't know but it's a very casual and friendly organisation so possibly, however at £8 it's hardly expensive and worth a visit.

I would say so, but they might need some help understanding the history. I think there was one cockpit one can sit in and other plane you can walk through.

It doesn't specifically mention dogs, but the people there are very amenable and I'm sure that would be OK. I would call them before to confirm
Hope this helps
