Ko Sichang is nice getaway from Bangkok and a unique destination with plenty history as the vacation destination of the royal family in the past.

We (17) took a public boat to Ko Sichang. We bought tickets without reservation. Public boats run every hour. At Ko Sichang we hired songthaew taxi for a whole day. Songthaew took us to our small seaside resort. The resort owner was very nice. We had good dinner at the resort. The sunrise was beautiful. Ko Sichang has good attractions. The local people were very nice.

Wir haben mit unserem Frachtschiff 3 Tage vor der Insel vor Anker gelegen & die ganze Besatzung hatte Besuch bekommen. Das ist aber schon über 50 Jahre her !!
Wir haben die Insel gar nicht betreten & fühlten uns alle trotzdem wie im Paradies 💞😎😍Wir wurden geliebt, bekocht & umsorgt, wir konnten es nicht besser haben, man denkt daran sein Leben lange !!

Hi bestie, if you are looking for some beautiful and breathtaking place, I would like to suggest Sichang island to be in one of your bucket lists! This place is a wonderful place provides yummy food and good view. I went there 1 year ago with my friend. We had a really great time with the place. Some of my friend said she found her best strawberry cheesecake here. And some of them really enjoy the walk all over the island.
Personally, I love to go to the beach. I need to visit at least one beach every year. And this place was really amazing. Food and drinks are not that expensive and also delicious as well. Most important things is the sunset view is absolutely gorgeous! Golden sky, crystal ocean, and snowy sand. If you have a chance to visit to Thailand, this place is might be a “Must” visit place for you.

I went to Koh Sichang for a weekend with my family. Koh Sichang is located in Chonburi Province. There is a very clear water with a lot of views to take pictures. I took a boat across to Koh Si Chang to pay homage to Khao Yai Godfather. There, I can see international cargo ships in the sea. Very clear. The atmosphere is cool. Not hot. Food. There is very delicious, there are many seafood dishes to choose from, many nationalities are interested and visit a lot.

^_^とても楽しい旅でした。
台湾経由でバンコクに行き、バンコクでいっぱくして、港までバスで行き、バス降りて15分ぐらい歩いて、船に乗りました。
1時間もかからずすぐに着きました。
コ シイチャンについて、ホンダのバイクが並んでました。
2泊3日でバイクを借りて、島の端から端まで何度もドライブしました。
着いた日の夜食事に行きました。
2日目のランチは、渡り蟹の店でした。
注文すると、そこのママが桟橋まで鍵を取りに行き、40分後に熱々の蒸し蟹が出てきます。
500グラム1キロと注文します。
手甲羅をパリパリ割って、最高においしかったです。
日本だと2から3倍はすると思います。
バンコクに戻るまで、夜昼と3回そのレストランで食べました。
ホテルも安くて清潔で満足でした。
自分で手作りの旅行をしたほうが快適で楽しいと思います。
日本人には好意的なので、皆満足が得られると思います。
次回は、サメット島に行ってみたいです。
ちなみにタイ語で島のことを コ といいます。

I always take my friends to Koh Larn. It is a 40 minute ferry (50baht) from Sriracha. You really get to see how the local island life is for real, without all the tourism. There is a small hideaway beach at the far side with clear waters and decent snorkelling, with lots of kinds of fish. Usually you have to pay big bucks for this stuff but it is virtually free here, and much closer to Bangkok than any other snorkelling/clear water beach destination. Beautiful viewpoints and you'll see wild pigs and their babies for sure.
You may want to avoid the Tuk tuk tour. The chinese temple is not indicative of genuine in use temples in Thailand, and the royal property on the coast may only feel special for Thais to see. The cabins and property are nice enough, nice flowers, but I wouldn't recommend if you have limited time. Head to the white sand, clear water beach!!

เป็นสถานที่น่าไปเที่ยวเกาะที่มีโขดหินเยอะ วิวทะเลสวย น้ำใสมาก เหมาะแก่การไปเที่ยวพักผ่อนกับครอบครัวก็ได้กับเพื่อนก็ดี

คนไม่หนาแน่นมาก ทะเลสวย สะอาด มีที่พักเยอะ ราคาไม่แพง มีปะการังให้ไปดำดูด้วยต้องเช้าเอานะ เหมาะแก่การพักผ่อน เดินทางสะดวก

เป็นเกาะที่มีโขดหินเยอะ วิวทะเลสวย น้ำใสมาก ไม่ใช่ว่าจะเล่นน้ำไม่ได้ เพราะที่เกาะก็มีหาดสำหรับให้นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถลงไปเล่นน้ำได้เช่นกัน

lots of busses and minivans, just flag them down on sukumvit highway. very cheap

Is there a snorkel company on K9 Sichang that goes to Bat Island?

Most diving tour on Si Chang is private charter, so you shouldn't have a problem.

You can leave from Si Racha quite late by bus, van or taxi. But since the last ferry from Koh Si Chang to Si Racha leaves at 6 PM, thos determines when you need to leave the island.

Can you suggest a destination that's under the radar and not far from Bangkok? My time is limited so I don't want to spend hours just getting to a place. I thought this island was a possibility but it doesn't sound very good after having read your review. I'm all ears. Thank you.

How can you get there the easiest way from Suvarnabhum airport? We'd be interested in going there in January.

They have a bus every hour to sri racha. It takes about 1.5 hours. The bus (minibus) costs 110 baht. On floor 1 door 8 at the airport you can get the tickets (sri racha tours). The people at the information desks can help you. When you arrive in sti racha you can walk to the pier (koh loy pier) or take a tuktuk. From the pier there is a boat every hour for 50 baht. It takes around 40 minutes. I dont know what time the last ferry starts. I guess something around 5 pm or so. Hope this was helpful 😊
