Es una experiencia única!!!
Conocer sobre las estrellas, ver los planetas y ver la luna es espectacular!
Edgar nos recibió muy cordialmente y absorbió todas nuestras preguntas y consultas muy amablemente.

Visita obligada! Gente muy amable que da un tour estelar entre increíbles telescopios, no puedes perderte esta experiencia

We had a great experience here. We had a great view of the Milky-way and the staff showed us a lot of very interesting things. They were vey accommodating and nice.

Una experiencia muy bonita y nos obsequiaron con un gran recuerdo: una foto nuestra con el firmamento.
Nos explicaron y vimos maravillosamente bien el firmamento que había la noche del diecisiete de julio de este año.
Pudimos ver y tocar dos trozos de meteoritos que tenían también allí.
Si pasas por Chivay en Perú no dejes de visitar el observatorio y planetario astronomico.
Es de esas visitas que te dejan un grato recuerdo . En la foto :
A la izda se vé uno de los dos telescopios que usamos.
. Tenían 2 telescopios e íbamos de uno a otro cuando enfocaban algo interesante.
Cúmulos gaseosos, estrellas azules dobles...
Para la foto, estuvimos 25 segundos sin movernos. Obturación lenta.

Amabilísima familia que nos ha recibido con los brazos abiertos, y nos ha enseñado los secretos del cielo nocturno de esta parte del mundo, a pesar del frío del invierno andino. Dante, junto con sus compañeros Edgar y Lucho, muestran su pasión por la astronomía de una manera brillante, y hemos podido contemplar de cerca Arturo, Vega y las constelaciones de Hércules, el escorpión, la tetera, M6 (la mariposa), M7, y otras muchas constelaciones, incluido el sombrero que se encuentra fuera de nuestra galaxia. Además, nuestros amigos nos dejaron tomar un vídeo y varias fotos de la luna en todo su esplendor, y contemplamos por último al elusivo Saturno, que quería esconderse entre las nubes pero finalmente se dejó ver.
Una experiencia obligada en Chivay, y que volveremos a repetir si en algún momento volvemos.

Visiting the Planetarium and Observatory Colca was one of the highlights of our trip to Peru so far. The tour was led by an amazing guide named Luis. His English was very good and the passion he and his colleagues showed was impressive. After the tour was finished we were invited to come back later to see Saturn. We would definitely tip this visit to others. Thanks again to all who gave us this great experience.

We had a great time at the Planetarium and Observatory. Such enthusiastic guys that told us all about the stars and the planets. Getting the opportunity to see the stars, the moon and Saturn and Jupiter was a great experience. Thank you!

The visit to this observatory was an amazing experience! The two guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They could show us twin stars, deep space objects, jupiter and its moons, and more! They also helped us take a picture of Saturn with its beautiful rings! Totally recommended 😊

Our tour guide recommended this small planetarium & observatory. It was quaint and intimate but they have several telescopes and with the dark sky in Chivay, we saw some amazing terrestrial sights! The price was very reasonable and Luis and Edgar gave us all the help and attention that we needed. Additionally, they were very nice and pleasant.

How do we book for this incredible observatory trip please? My dad is extremely interested!
Hello, the observatory is open from 6:15 to 9:30. You can show up anytime, but if you want to have a look at venus, jupiter and saturn, you have to be there at 6:30. On the other hand, if you want to have a look at jupiter, saturn and mars, you have to be there around 7:40. Remember to take warm clothes, the observation is outside and is quiet cold. Att.
