We loved spending the morning at Island Hill Farm. My daughter is in a wheelchair and we were made to feel right at home. Flory the owner introduced herself as we were checking in and let us know to use the hose to wash the wheelchair wheels when we were finished visiting and also pointed out some good spots for us to visit the animals around the farm. We went right into meet all the goats and it was great - you get right up close to so many at once it was really fun. We also saw the donkey roll. The cinnamon buns and coffee were yummy. We spent about 2 hours at the farm and would highly recommend this extra cute outing on PEI!!

We went on a Sunday morning. The owner is very friendly and interesting to talk to. We loved seeing the different animals and interacting with several of them, including a miniature horse named Betty White. There is something for all ages, and it’s a beautiful locsle.

We are used to petting zoo’s in Ontario - through a fence. This was so much better!!! So interactive, my kids got to pet baby bunnies and get up close to so many animals, they loved the baby goats. Staff and owner are all very friendly and passionate. Great lattes, scones, and place to visit. Well worth it! Core memories made.

This experience was one of our best on PEI. Our family absolutely fell in love with this farm. Farmer Flory is a wonderful person and tends to the farm with such care and love. Our children bottle fed the baby goats and were so happy! I would highly recommend the farm made soaps-totally incredible. Also, I was pleasantly surprised how good the coffee was. The cafe is a must stop. All around awesome vibe here! And Gavin is a star!

We really enjoyed our visit. The staff are a wealth of information. The animals are well taken care of and friendly. We enjoyed all the petting. This isn't just for kids- we had a great time. There's a shop and cafe. Fully recommend. It was a rainy day but that was no problem.

My wife, mother-in-law, aunt, and I(4 total) took a trip from NB to Island Hill Farms PEI for a mothers day weekend treat in May 2024. The farm was well laid out and not too crowded even though this was a popular weekend for excursions. And it did not disappoint!
We spent approx 3 hours on the farm and really enjoyed the visit. Upon first arriving, we spent some time gazing at the highland cows and their majestic beauty near the parking area.
Then we spent some time wandering thru the goats pen, giant bunnies, mini horses, small bunnies, alpacas and spent some time with the mini donkey Gavin.
We also enrolled in "who's yer goat" for my wife, which is a neat idea we stumbled upon while exploring the farm website a couple months before arranging the trip. We "adopted" Elderberry who was pregnant at the time. The "who's yer goat" gives you exclusive benefits to the goat without bringing it home, visiting whenever you like, brushing the goat, and taking part in some of the goats basic care, which we found fun. Elderberry is a darling. This included a yearly pass, some goat soap, a personalized video from Flory, and a poster of Elderberry. This came in the form of a gift shipped to our home in advance, so for those looking for an idea around a special occasion, the was a big hit for my special someone.
We all took part in the baby goat feeding, which is a unique heart warming experience. There is a certain feeling of therapy while doing this that is indescribable. The baby goats are use to it, so they just get ready to jump on your lap because they know what's coming. The baby goats just snuggle right in and begin to feed from the bottle. If you have the chance to do this, do it.
We met baker Joe and he was, just like everyone else there, nothing but class. He made us all our coffee, and it was just like everything else at Island Hill Farms, perfect.
There are many reviews which speak to the prices. Mostly positive but some that found it a bit more than expected. With the raising of many farm costs, among the costs of everything else increasing, its difficult for a farm like this to keep their costs down as everything else goes up, including many things that are required for the farm to operate. In understanding that, we had no issue with the prices. Some larger families with children may find it a bit expensive, but that goes for everything. Some things you just can't put a price tag on, including something for the mind and soul like this place. My recommendation is if you can handle the price tag, try to fit it in. You won't be disappointed.
A personal note and shout out to Flory, the owner and farmer, who took time out of her daily craziness at the farm to make us feel right at home, a HUGE THANK YOU. Flory spent some extra time with us to explain how things work at the farm, asking us our opinion of what we thought, asked us if we thought there was anything she could do better, and just genuinely interested in all of us. You made the 3 mothers(and myself) feel special on their special day on your farm.
"It's not what they said, it's not what they did, it's how they made you feel". This place makes you feel. Thank you again Island Hill Farms. See you soon.

With Farmer Flory in attendance, her enthusiasm rubbed off on everyone at this great venue.
A veritable zoo with all sorts of different animals and expert, welcoming staff. Very educational, great coffee.
Are we allowed to say we loved the goats best?!

We are coming by cruise ship on October 11, 2018. Will you be open for visitors and how far are you from the cruise terminal? How would you suggest getting to your farm? It’s just me and my husband. 2 seniors from San Diego, CA. First time on your island. Thanks for answering my questions. Karin
