‪Not far off the beaten path. Worth the extra bit of driving to see the fantastic view. There's even washroom facilities.‬

‪Just a few minutes outside Little Current, a great high view looking north. Combine this with a stop at Ten Mile Point about 20 minutes south, which looks east toward Killarney.‬

‪Ce promontoire semble constitué de marches géantes. Ce sont en fait les différents niveaux atteints par la Mer Algonquine lors de son retrait progressif durant la déglaciation occasionnée par la fonte de la calotte glaciaire de 3 à 4 km d'épaisseur qui couvrait le nord de ce continent (qui avait basculé vers l'ouest sous le poids de la glace). Petit à petit, le continent a basculé de nouveau vers l'est, le Saint-Laurent a repris sa course vers l'Atlantique et la Mer Algonquine s'est peu à peu vidée vers l'est. Chaque marche du Mont McLean représente une étape (qui a pu durer entre plusieurs centaines d'années) de la baisse de niveau de cette mer, profonde de 200 m environ à son point maximum.‬

‪We took great photographs of the sunset. Need filters for best results as the distance can create an illusion of blur. There are windmills on the hill. I was surprised by how many.‬

‪Could not find hiking trail, no signage found. Restroom facilities locked, limited parking was available. Nice overlook of Little Current and north channel with great fall colors.‬
