Completely callous and unprofessional operation. Went twice during their website's posted open hours, both time closed. Latest time was on sunny day. Some visitors mulling about, but closed doors and no staff. No posting explaining why, in any language. Previous visit a couple years back same thing, but that time there was a note stating closed due to snow. No snow on ground, none falling from sky, but a slight chance in the forecast so they decided not to show up. PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

Kasteel is niet gesloten. Bijzondere plek met mooi uitzicht rondom. Prijs is erg gunstig. Zou er zeker even heen gaan om een kijkje te nemen.

Ist immer wieder ein tolles Ereignis für tolle Fotos. Gut besucht, aber nicht überlaufen kann man einige Stunden auf dem Gelände verbringen. Mit einem Eintrittspreis von 3,— Euro kann man bis auf den höchsten Turm steigen und eine phantastische Aussicht über Lörrach, Chrischona und Basel geniessen. Hinter der Ruine hat es ein grosser Grillplatz, Wandermöglichkeiten schliessen sich an. Wers gemütlicher mag, geht ins Restaurant.

Went for a walk in the forests around Lörrach, this was a nice I teresting end to the walk with a nice view of lörrach and basel.

Die Burgruine bietet verschiedene Perspektiven, Zwei hohe Türme überragen das Gesamtbauwerk. Es gibt einen kurzen steilen Weg nach oben und einen schönen längeren durch waldiges Gelände. Besonders das Burgführungsteam hat es geschafft, uns einen lebendigen Eindruck vom Leben früher in der Berg zu vermitteln.

We had a nice morning walking through the ruins. Well maintained and not that expensive. There is a parking near the castle entrance, not that big, so come early.
Nice biergarten in the first courtyard of the castle. They had a local orchestra playing Humpah music, was really nice, too bad it was full due to COVID limitations on tables.

Hoch über Lörrach gelegene Burgruine. Recht gut erhalten kann man sich die ehemalige Grösse der Burg vorstellen. Imposant! Von den 2 Türmen hat man eine tolle Aussicht. Der Eintritt ist mit 2.50 sehr günstig.

Tolles Ausflugsziel im Dreiländereck. Auch ohne Eintritt einen Besuch der äußeren Burg wert, hinter der Burg gibt es einen tollen Grillplatz mit Wurzel-Kletter-Hang. Aber auch der kostenpflichtige Besuch der inneren Burganlage mit Besteigung des Aussichtsturms ist immer wieder ein Erlebnis.

Well maintained medieval castle ruins. Huge grounds and castle with many former rooms to explore The views are amazing at 1,385 feet. There is also a reasonably priced beer garden.

Some of it is. There is a few parking bays near the entry, so you don't need to push the stroller right up the road. You will need to carry you baby to see the best parts though. The outer wall has quite a lot of steps, so not ideal. But you can definitely get to the cafe and beer garden inside of the castle. Outside of the castle there is only gravel tracks.

Hello,
i guess 1 hour or at most 2 hours is enough for a visit. 1 hour for the castle and maybe 20 minutes for the museum. If you want you can have a meal after the visit outside the castle, so you spend there 2 hours more if you want to.
