Consiglio a tutti la visita a questo luogo che non esito a definire straordinario. Rudolf Steiner, il fondatore dell'Antroposofia, ne ha voluto fortemente l'edificazione come sede mondiale dell'Antroposofia. IL precedente edificio in legno fu distrutto da un misterioso incendio , ma tenacemente è stato poi edificato quello che possiamo vedere oggi. Vi si svolgono numerose attività culturali , vi si trova una libreria e un punto di ristoro. Da visitare assolutamente. Vale il viaggio.

Amazing architeture more if you think building was built on 20's of last century. I've loved. For sure a great choice of visiting.

Dieses von Rudolf Steiner im ersten Viertel des 19. Jahrhunderts Gebäude kommt als monumentaler Betonbau in einer Wucht daher, die den Betrachter und auch Besucher förmlich erdrückt. Das Goetheanum, der Name erscheint bereits äusserst merkwürdig, ist auf der einen Seite unzweifelhaft eindrucksvoll, auf der anderen Seite hässlich und kein `schönes` Gebäude. Es wirkt abweisend, wie eine Festung und erinnert mich immer an die Luftschutzbunker auf dem Heiligengeistfeld in Hamburg. Die Hamburger Flaktürme sind zwei große, in Betonbauweise mit Stahlarmierungen errichtete Luftabwehr- und Luftschutzbauten in den Hamburger Stadtteilen St. Pauli und Wilhelmsburg. Das Goetheanum ist in Dornach als weitsichtbares Wahrzeichen einen Besuch wert, besonders einladend wirkt es jedoch nicht.

Im Original ist uns das Ganze zu "mächtig" und "erdrückend". Finde eigentlich, dass es eher ein Widerspruch zum anthroposophischen Gedankengut sein könnte?!?

Even if you don't know Rudolf Steiner and his movement, you experience the spiritual calm and beauty. There are architecture walking routes along the anthroposophical villas in the neighborhood. The Goetheanum looks stern on the outside, because of the grey color and massive forms, Inside, there are many beautiful details. the wooden doors, lamps. stairs, the library with bookshop and cafe etc. The great auditorium hall with paintings is only open some days for an hour in the afternoon and in summer often closed. Also, there are art exhibitions adding to the feeling of the Gesamtkunstwerk. Entrance is free and there are a few paid parking spots; the railway station and tram 10 from Basel are within walking distance. Outside there are wildflowers and animals - a great place for all visitors.

Das ist womöglich das Weltzentrum der anthroposophischen Bewegung des Rudolf Steiner.
Ein Bau im brutalo-gigantomanischen Stil. Heutzutage eine Kultureinrichtung, aber sicherlich im Sinne der Bewegung.
Man muss es jedoch einmal gesehen haben.

A unique experience. The building was incredibly innovative when it was built in the early 20th century. Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Anthroposophy designed the building and experimented with concrete at a time when it was not usual especially for a building of this size. The contrast between the grey heavy material and the organic forms is a unique testimony to the avant garde spirit of its designer.
It is also the seat of the Anthroposophic society and a University of Spiritual Science. Normally there are regular conferences and artistic performances held in the building, although now due to the Covid situation, all the events are held online. But simply walking on the Goetheanum ground is quite an experience by itself

Struttura bellissima e molto interessante, di un architettura fantastica, circondata da tanti altre strutture ognuna unica nel suo genere, in un ambiente naturale e rilassante, per delle belle passeggiate!

Wer dieses einmalige Gebäude nicht besucht hat, der verpasst echt etwas. Was dieser Rudolf Steiner in Dornach geschaffen hat ist monumental! Unbedingt die Besichtigungstour buchen und man wird so viel lernen. Und dann auch den Garten und die umliegenden Gebäude besuchen.

I’ve really liked this place since I was young. The atmosphere is really nice and relaxing. They have nice gardens and cherry trees. If you come visit I would recommend their restaurant, they support everyone from meat eaters to vegans, they have a lot of vegan food.

I am a American, currently in Bellagio, Italy and would like to come and visit, next week. I know I need to take the ferry to Como and then the train to Dornach. Google maps says it will take me 5 1/2 hours to get there. Travel advice would be appreciated. Could I do this trip in one day? If not, where would be a affordable place to stay in Dornach? Thank you

Olá! Você pode ir até a cidade de trem ou bonde vindo de Basileia. O ônibus até o Goetheanum parte da frente da estação de trem.
