This clock makes you look and study its features every time I visit Hornsby. It is an architectural beauty that makes you want to walk past it regularly. It is a focal point for shopping, water feature and the train station.

Am amazed how little ones are still attracted to the water and the adults enjoy meeting around the unique sculpture.

What's the point of a clock that doesn't tell time? Absolutely nothing. Even worse this fountain clock is meant to tell the time in a few different ways, none of which work. When the clock was originally installed it did work. Not long after Westfield redeveloped the shopping precinct, temporarily removing the clock once back in place it has never been the same. One excuse was something to do with lack of water pressure to the fountain.
The only thing this fountain that works occasionally as a fountain (not as a clock) is that everyone knows where it is and it is a good meeting place, just like Town Hall steps in the CBD. Apart from that Hornsby has more to offer than just the clock

Quand vous êtes à Hornsby à côté du centre commercial Westfield se dresse cette belle horloge à eau , une sculpture qui bouge par un mouvement mécanique sur une fontaine décorative qui malheureusement ne fonctionnait pas aujourd’hui . A voir par curiosité .

This clock is a great feature, and many people enjoy looking at it, but alas the clock does not work and to my knowledge never has. It is a nice sculpture and pleasing to the eye, and I would not like to see it taken away.

Only occasionally works. Costs huge amounts of money in Council maintenance but hasn't worked properly for years. Good meeting place but when it does 'work' it is extremely noisy. Haven't heard the carrilon, which can be quite nice to listen to, played for years.

But would not make a special trip to see it.
Having said that its nice to sit in the sun and listen to the buskers who invariably entertain there along with the Thursday markets.
Easy access via the train with lifts.....

Beautiful piece of art that told the time as the water poured through. Now stuck solid. Water still runs, but the clock mechanism no longer turns the hands.

This is an amazing clock, one that you will never see any where else in Sydney, besides Hornsby. It is very interesting and worth going to have a look at it if you are in the area. There are plenty of shops around so you can grab a bite to eat and sit outside near the clock and enjoy the view :)

The clock is mesmerising to watch. The clock operates by a series of components filling with water then over balancing and causing the clock to movement to operate
