Firstly, I’ll say that there are definitely more scenic places to go if that’s what you’re looking for. But if you’re looking for somewhere to go for a walk or to see wildlife in the area, this is the place to go. I saw a Bald Eagle for the first time in person (in the wild) here. Along with many other birds, several deer, butterflies, dragonflies, frogs… and not another human being the whole time! I highly recommend going to their website and reviewing safety information prior to visiting, along with doing a tick check after you leave. Quite buggy in the summer so don’t forget your bug spray.
