We spent 3 nights at Vurhonga Safaris with our family. It was incredible!! You experience nature and wildlife up close through the beautiful bush walks with Vivian. It was inspiring and exceptional, we really disconnected from the daily activities. The tent camp was beautifully set up between the trees and equipped with a lovely shower, toilet and the beds in the tents were super. Food was perfectly made above the campfire. One of is is vegetarian and had realy tasty meals! A must go place to experience the real wilderness with Vivian!

We stayed (alas!!) only for one night in this absolutely stunning camp site, so divinely set up by Vivian. The tents are straight out of dreamed Africa camps. The shower is a MUST DO, it’s set under a tree and to be taken under a starlit night, hearing owl hoots and baboons, with perfect hot water from the fire in a bucket… Dinner was deliciously cooked and served, coffee by the fire with Vivian and Graham’s fabulous stories of the bush, with live comments on what is going on in the bush around you and you can’t see. Vivian is both a great tracker, guide and also a biologist. The night was superbly comfortable, secure and safe in the midst of the wilderness, giraffes passed the night we were there. Next day was walk and track in the river bed. Excellent guides, both of you, thank you for all the information you shared with us and the skilled spotting. Éléphant’s and the full range of antilopes hooves spotted, giraffes, cheetahs, sable antilope… and more. Thank you so very much for the kind welcome and care. Highly recommended.…

My wife and I recently did 2 magical day walks with Vivian/Vurhonga Safaris in the Selati Game Reserve. Vivian's knowledge of the wilderness and confidence with big game encounters was phenomenal. I highly recommend his service offering and look forward to trying out the camp soon.

If your looking for a lekker break in the African bush , good food , good beds, good vibes up close sightings this is the place to be. Nice and rustic will the simple pleasures in life. Where you’ll be stationed at one camp where you’ll either do backpacks if you want or day walks that are 3-4 hours long +- depending on the sightings and you’ll have plenty of time in the day to catch a kip or soak in the sound of the bush. Very lekker place.
