Pleasant rooms located in a shady area close to the beach. The pool is lovely but it was not as clean as it should be. The bed are comfortable, the water is hot and the Wi-Fi is good. This place could be an absolute gem, but unfortunately, Lime N Soda has lost its fizz! If you want nothing but a nice room, then this is the place for you. At the time of writing this, we believed what was stated on Boking.com, namely that we could purchase breakfast at the property, and the restaurant and bar was open. Unfortunately, this was not the case. If you chose to stay here anytime soon, you will need to wander down the beach or into the town area to get any food or drink that you require. Had I known this, I would not have stayed there.
Stayed at Lime & Soda for over a week whilst on Ko Pha-Ngan. I was attracted to the place as it seemed like it had only recently come under new management and wanted to give it a try! I was happy with my stay there - in fact I extended several times as I remained longer on the island than I originally planned. - Location is impeccable. Although only a few minutes walk from the pier and the heart of Thong Sala, the resort feels remarkably separate from it, and is very peaceful. - Right next to the beach. - Rooms are good quality and very nicely furnished. - Really nice foliage and fountains in the resort grounds. There are some points which the venue could consider looking at in order to ensure the best possible standards: - There wasn't a clothes drying rack - pretty much every other of the 10 or so hotels I stayed in in Thailand had one of these. - Minibar in my room was only occasionally replenished. Not an issue for me as I don't want to be tempted by biscuits and choclate! - More annoyingly, the in-room coffee was also only occasionally replenished. - The pool could do with being cleaned more than once a day - due to the wildlife and foliage that are around. Probably worth cleaning first thing in the morning and around lunchtime. - The beach chairs aren't very good. You can either have the seat backs 'upright' or 'horizontal'. If you try and recline them, and lean on them, they will jarringly fall down to horizontal. I'd recommend the hotel should replace these. If you are planning on staying here as a guest, i'd note the following: - My room wasn't made up after the first night. When, in the afternoon after the second night and my room had still not been made up I looked at the other guests rooms and they had all got either the 'make up my room' or 'do not disturb' sign on their door I decided to do the same. And my room was promptly made up. Other hotels will make up rooms automatically, for this one the signs appear to indicate guests expectations: worth noting if you are staying here. - Due to the nature of the area, small numbers of ants can get into the room. I found this was only an issue if you have spillages or leave food or wrappers out. Avoid doing this, and it won't be a problem. Overall, certainly recommended, and I hope it prospers once travelers are able to return to Thailand in numbers!…
A fantastic beachfront boutique resort Koh Pha Ngan now under new ownership (from October 2020) of a lovely South African couple, Jamie and Natasha. The resort itself has a fabulous aesthetic with hints of Greece and a 'beachcomber' styling. The rooms are gorgeous with smart TV and all amenities. Jamie is a well respected chef so the food at the resort's restaurant, 32 on Lime, speaks for itself. Gorgeous views and sunsets are available for free! Jamie and Natasha are the most genial and welcoming hosts you could ask for. A wonderful place to kick back and relax and enjoy the island life.
