This was a relatively new, modern hotel that we stayed at for 3 nights. Taxi driver said about 3 years old. The front desk and bellman were all quite helpful (they walked us all the way up the elevator and into the room, took luggage in and out of taxis, etc….). The included breakfast was plentiful the days they served at the buffet. The only issue with breakfast was that one day they decided to clean the kitchen (maybe because the number of people staying that night at the rather large hotel was incredibly small) and only offered a set room service for breakfast. Neither of the 2 choices were particularly what we wanted, but after much negotiation (and a follow-up visit to our room), we ended up with a substantial breakfast that included eggs, fried rice, and salad, and pretty much everything else we wanted delivered by 3 people, and we had enough left over to save for a light lunch. The upgraded, 4 person room we were given had a view of the ocean in the distance (but the view immediately outside was NOT great). There was sufficient space to put our 3 large suitcases (the room was quite large). I looked just like the room photos they used for some advertising brochures (although the pics were reversed from what we had, that might just have been the equivalent of a flipped negative) The down side…..the room was quite noisy (single pane glass), and you could clearly hear people talking and selling at the fruit market outside, even though we were on the 8th floor. And you could hear the running showers from upstairs and next door. Also, the faucet in the bathroom came off the last night, which was really strange. We were able to reattach it (sort of, never felt really screwed in all the way) and didn’t notify the manager until the morning, so we don’t know how well they fixed the situation. It was usable for the rest of our stay.…
