We have been two times before here and it was very nice, so we booked for the third time one week in advance, for 5 nights. When we called 2 days before the check-in to double check our reservation, they told us they have to cancel our booking because they have an emergency and they have no one in the location to make the fire and warm the place. So our holiday was ruined even before it started :(

The place is very well positioned on the side of a river, and that gives it a very cool mountain vibe. The rooms are basic but very well equipped. The restaurant looks quite old fashioned but they serve very good food: delicious trout grown in-house, and typical Romanian desert: "papanasi", which were also super good. We only stayed there 1 night, as we were crossing Transalpina road, but we slept very well and had an incredible dinner. The wi-fi signal was quite weak, but who needs wi-fi with such scenery, right?

Hotel jest klimatycznie położony nad górskim potokiem. Siedzenie w ogródku daje dużą przyjemność i odpręża. Tym bardziej że serwują bardzo dobre lokalne jedzenie i trunki. Pstrąg jest z własnej hodowli przy domu. Młodzi właściciele bardzo uczynni i uśmiechnięci. Świetnie mówią po angielsku. Pokoje niewielkie, ale czyste i z balkonem. Ogólnie bardzo przyjemne miejsce.

The owners are awesome! They take care of everything: cooking, cleaning, directions advice, everything. The cabin is lovely, very clean, tv in the room, wi-fi (even though we caught a week of snow and the signal was down), balcony with a table and 2 chairs, nice view over the river and forest. We were alone for the first days so everything was quiet. At the end of the week, 3 other rooms got occupied and, given the fact that the cabin is made of wood, you could easily hear the toilet being flushed or the shower in the other room, or people roaming in the halls. The restaurant is very clean and a good place to get signal :) The food is traditional. We had trout (that they grow in their own yard!) with polenta and garlic sauce. It was the best trout I've ever had!
