This resort will furnish you with ice along with other things. It was our anniversary, so we received flowers in our room. How nice and thoughtful it was.

This is a great place to visit with lots of choices for excursions. We saw lots of iguanas. There were many toucans while we ate breakfast. We visited the green iguana exhibit which was a very interesting place to visit on site. I would recommend this resort hotel to anyone.

You have a few options. We took a shuttle service—there are a few highly rated here. You will pay between $90-100 USD and the ride is about two hours. Another option for about twice as much money is to fly there. There’s an airstrip just outside of San Ignacio and the hotel offers a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Safe travels!

Good morning Joan, I am very pleased to hear about your newfound interest in birding as Belize offers some spectacular sightings. We had a group back in 2017 who counted 112 on property, some of these included the Keel Billed Toucan, Emerald Toucanet, Gray Hawk, Ruby-Throated Hummingbird, Indigo Bunting, Golden-Olive Woodpecker, Red-legged Honeycreeper, amongst many others. For other tours outside of property, there's great areas to visit such as The Nest of the Crested Caracara, El Pilar and Cahal Pech Maya temples, Aguacate Lagoon, and even some urban birdwatching! As for the rooms recommended for this type of preference, as mentioned by some of our visitors in this thread, the Suites are a good option as they have a clear view of the rainforest canopy where you can spot Keel Billed Toucans in the early mornings.
